Alex was recommended to me as a dog trainer who is a strong proponent of positive reinforcement. He has helped me tremendously with my five month old Labrador Retriever puppy who has been challenging at times. I joined Alex and Apache, his wonderful dog, for puppy socialization classes. These classes have helped my dog navigate busy environments (like Lowes Home Improvement) and play nicely with other puppies. I drive to Woodbridge from Arlington every week for these classes which are well worth the hassle of driving on 95 on a Saturday afternoon. Alex has assembled a group of wonderful people and puppies for this class and I look forward to seeing them every week. My dog recently received her AKC Puppy STAR certificate and part of the reason we were successful was due to Alex’s training techniques. He is fantastic.

Alex goes above and beyond for both his furry and human clients. Dogs are clearly his passion and he treats my Bailey as if she was his own. We just happen to live in the same neighborhood and she gets so excited when we walk by his house. If he happens to be outside he makes a big fuss over her and just makes her day! When I first brought Bailey home she had a lot of separation anxiety and was constantly mouthing/play biting us and the cats and that behavior is pretty much extinct now. He has loaned us products (leashes, play pens) and has allowed us to try out various collars and harnesses before we went out and purchased our own. I HIGHLY recommend Alex and his team to anyone who is looking for someone to train their dog. Prior to finding Alex and CPC, I was considering sending Bailey to one of those board and train programs but when I spoke with them, they wanted an exorbitant amount of money and they weren’t willing to cater her training to what I needed her to learn. They wanted to work on some skills she already had, which seemed like a huge waste of money. Alex always asks what I want to work on, making Bailey’s training completely custom. We can’t recommend him enough!
