Alex was awesome with Legend (GS). He had him for 2 weeks board and training. We needed help socializing him with other dogs and people. Alex took him on daily walks and trips to the the store to help him get out of his comfort zone. He sent us daily updates with pictures and videos. Needless to say he came home a more confident dog and walks now are way more enjoyable!!!! I would definitely use Alex again!!

Alex is INCREDIBLE! He’s been working with us and our puppy Roxy for a few months and we can see a drastic improvement in our rambunctious dogs behavior. One thing I really appreciate about Alex is that you can tell he genuinely really loves and cares for each of the dogs he trains. He’s extremely personable and we like his method of training (positive reinforcement). His dog Apache has also been such a positive influence for Roxy and has helped her learn how to play appropriately and control her puppy biting. He’s also helped us connect with other new dog owners in the area to coordinate walks and puppy play dates (which has been difficult due to COVID). He’ll reach out to my husband and I during the week to check on Roxy’s progress and is easy to reach if we have questions. Alex is amazing and you’re doing yourself and your dog a disservice if you don’t use him to train you dog!

Shortly after adopting two rescue dogs (terrier mixes, ages 2 & 4), we realized both dogs had been victims of neglect and neither had any social skills. The older one is people/dog reactive, shows fear aggression and has become overprotective of me. Alex was recommended to us by the folks over at Pet Nutrition Center and we cannot thank them enough! Alex and his assistant dog, Apache, are fabulous. Alex is so patient, encouraging, knowledgeable and has a true passion for helping others with the human/companion-pet connection. His trainings are humane and focus on positive reinforcement. We have worked with Alex in individual and group sessions. Each time we have a session with Alex, confidence grows both in us and our dogs. The individual sessions really help with our dogs' specific behavioral issues and the group walks are so valuable for working on their lack of social skills and improving their walking manners. The group walks include pets of various ages, sizes and temperaments and also include pet owners who are positive and very supportive. It has been a gift to work with Alex, Apache and the entire pet-loving community of Commonwealth Pet Care.
