Colorado Dog Academy

We are SO grateful for Colorado Dog Academy!! They really understand our dogs and have been so gentle and kind with both of our dogs’ reactivity. Honestly it’s the only place we will board our dogs in CO. Boomer and Toby are more comfortable each time they go and we know it’s because of the wonderful staff loving on them and being so patient! Thank you for giving us peace of mind when we go out of state!

I dropped off my 9 week old puppy two days after I got him to go through the 4-week puppy training and boarding with Dan. I was so apprehensive to part from my new dog, but I’m really glad I did! Dan took such great care of him—teaching him basic commands, how to sleep through the night in his crate, and potty training. He even socialized my puppy by taking him to stores and having him play with his grandkids! I visited Winston once a week to help him remember me and when he came home he was happy and well-trained. Now Winston is 6 months old and he is such a calm, obedient dog. I occasionally take him to the group classes that they offer several times a week to keep up his training, and Winston loves going to day care. These people are true professionals and I highly recommend them!

We took our Pomski, Dodge here for a 2 week board and train. Although I had an expectation he would be better trained, I feel he came back a completely different dog! One of the best things about our decision to board and train Dodge here was the simplicity of the commands. Makes it so easy to follow, and the class you do with the trainer was beyond helpful in helping my wife and I understand what we needed to do. We 100% recommend having your dog train here, especially if you want a well behaved dog unlike most dogs I come across on a daily basis!

I cannot describe how thankful I am for Dan's training. We specifically had behavioral issues with our dogs around our baby and toddler. He worked with us and gave us the tools we needed to make the best decisions for our family. He will give you his expert opinion on whether you need to consider rehoming or if training will be effective. He has had personal experience with dog behavior around kids and understands the psychology of dogs. He taught me so much and I am forever grateful for him.
