My husband and I have a very reactive dog. We had tried some private training and medication to help with his behavior. We found that it made some difference, but we felt he needed more training. After looking at the training alternatives in the area we chose Click!Pawsitive. The training methods of using positive reinforcement, rather than harsh corrections were appealing for our dog who was already struggling with his reactions around other people and dogs. After an initial assessment, Duke was enrolled in a class with other reactive dogs. The class was structured to help all of the dogs and owners succeed. The dogs each got a positive experience. Duke made progress in each class with practice at home. He was always happy to go to class. My husband and I learned ways to work with Duke that helped him to succeed in his interactions with other people and dogs. I highly recommend the training at Click!Pawsitive. The trainers are knowledgeable and work with each owner and dog on their specific needs.
Sara has a special insight into a dog's behavior, quirks, and personality. She helped me to understand Teddy's behavior and how best to help him deal with his anxieties and nervous energy. Sara's approach was not just to train my dog (and me), but to also help us develop a loving and trusting relationship that will last forever.
