We were disappointed with our experience working with Sara. From the start, the sessions lacked the structure and hands-on training we were looking for. The majority of the first session was spent on a lengthy sales pitch rather than training, and the follow up session involved Sara sitting on the couch while we tried to engage our puppy- offering little more than commentary. Sara quickly labeled our 4-month-old Lab puppy as a “mutt” just minutes into meeting him, and within the first session, she was recommending a muzzle and medication—something we found not only premature but completely unnecessary. We’ve raised several Labs before, and while puppies come with their energy and challenges, we were simply seeking guidance in managing that stage. Instead, we were met with rigid opinions and judgment. One of the most frustrating moments was being accused of not doing our “homework,” despite the fact that we were spending hours each day working with our pup. Sara’s training method revolved almost entirely around constant treat-giving, which only taught our puppy to expect food for every action—not to understand or retain any real behavioral change. We had hoped for a trainer who would meet us where we were, offer actionable advice, and help shape our pup’s behavior in a sustainable way. Unfortunately, we felt unheard, misjudged, and ultimately unsupported. We would not recommend this service to anyone looking for active and effective dog training.
