Chomps Dog Training

Chomps Dog Training has been an incredible partner in raising my dog, Ollie. We used their Board & Train program when he was an 8-month-old puppy, and their focus on emotional regulation was a complete game-changer for building his focus, self-control, and leash manners. They equipped me with the skills and confidence to handle any situation. Ollie also adores his weekly Adventure Camps with Nicole, where he gets to go hiking, paddle boarding, and exploring off-leash with a great pack of other Chomps alumni. It is such a great opportunity for enrichment and for him to practice his off-leash adventure skills in a controlled environment. Chomps has strengthened my bond with Ollie beyond measure and opened up so many possibilities for us to adventure together. I can't recommend them enough!!

We couldn’t be happier with our experience! Before training, my dog Philip struggled a lot with fear and confidence, and it made everyday situations stressful for both of us. Since completing the board and train program, he’s so much more confident, relaxed, and willing to explore. The trainers were very patient and knowledgeable. They took the time to understand his specific needs and gave us the tools to continue building his confidence at home. I’m so grateful for all the hard work and care they put into him. Seeing him become a happier, more confident dog has been amazing. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a trainer who genuinely cares about both the dogs and their owners!

We got our dog trained with Chomps. He went in for his reactive aggression with my other dogs. Chomps focus has been on obedience and management. So far, we have been able to successfully manage him with the tools Chomps sent us home with and a detailed go-home training at their facility. They were also communicative during the training and sent updates throughout so that we could understand what was being worked on. The reason I give 4 stars is because it seems like his specific issues are much more localized to our environment/tension he feels with the older dog in very specific contexts. Chomps was able to address obedience but he will need more training in those exact situations at home for it to be 100% addressed. Overall, however, it seems the life of my other dog no longer hangs in the balance which is a load of our minds.

I’ve been meaning to leave this review for awhile! Chomps completely changed our lives last summer. We tried a few other trainers for our reactive 4 year old Australian Sheppard and were still at a point where walks were difficult and having company over was nearly impossible. Benji came back after a 4 week behavior modification train and board with his loving, spunky personality still but a fantastic listener! He can still be reactive but we have the tools to safely have company over and walks are a breeze now. We actually had a good sized get together last weekend and he was SO good! Our friends and family could not believe the difference and were so impressed. Chomps also offers alumni boarding which has been a lifesaver for us because we know he is somewhere safe and cared for when we have to leave town. It takes a lot of trust to leave your baby somewhere especially for the initial 4 week train and board but it was the best decision we made. Thank you all so much for everything!
