“You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.” Well Nick and Lauren definitely prove that statement to be false. I wouldn’t say my dog Ziggy is old (he is 5), but he is no longer in a puppy phase. Yet, despite his age, he learned so much in working with Nick and Lauren. I chose to do their 10 week program so that Ziggy and I could work on a new skill each week and practice together. He learned the place command, to come when called, how to walk on a leash, wait, and the down command and he has mastered them all. All things I regret not having taught him earlier in his life. I am so thankful for finding Nick and Lauren. Ziggy is a different dog since working with Chicagoland dog training. He trusts me to lead and he enjoys getting the commands right! Ziggy was close to going down a path of aggression, but through his training, he’s learned to relax and trust me, allowing him to just be a happy dog. Ziggy loves Nick and Lauren and looked forward to his lessons each week. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for dog training, whether your pup is old or young. Thank you Nick and Lauren!

Our herding puppy displayed negative behaviors early on that we were unable to remedy ourselves. We even consulted with other trainers, who all basically said “puppies will be puppies.” We then consulted with Chicagoland Dog Training and received a much more in-depth analysis of the behavior and a step-by-step strategy to resolve it. The 10 day training was the best investment we could have made for our newest family member. Nick and Lauren utilized a system that was all encompassing; it was professional, educational, and fun! Can’t thank you enough!

Would give Chicagoland Dog Training 10 stars if I could!! Lauren and Nick are the best! I first met Lauren and Nick to help train a foster dog of mine with extreme anxiety- he did a board and train and because of Lauren and Nick helping him overcome his anxiety, he found his forever home and is living his best life. Forever grateful! About a month ago, I sent my little Sasha to a board and train. She needed help to become more independent and gain confidence. She finished her board and train, I picked her up and she was so happy and learned so much! She has definitely become more confident and is doing SO much better! She loved her time at Chicagoland Dog Training. My other dog, Oscar, will be going to do a board and train in a few weeks. I know Oscar will love his time there and he will be in the best hands. Highly, highly recommend Chicagoland Dog Training! Lauren and Nick are extremely knowledgeable of animal behavior and training. They are passionate, caring and loving! Not only do they train your dog, but they treat the animals in their care as if they were their own! Thank you both for all you do! :)

It is hard to put into words and express the gratitude that I have to Nick and Lauren for the love, care ,and the effort that they put into training my dog, Olaf. My husband spent hours doing research on where to board our little puppy for two weeks. He knew that this would be the hardest thing for me because I would have to be able to fully trust this person with one of my most precious possessions. We talked to a number of them but Lauren and Nick stood out above the rest of them. One place that we called said that they would come and pick up our dog. This person was supposed to be a national champion trainer. There was to be no interviews and no availability for me to see how my dog would interact with the person. This was a huge red flag to me. From the moment that I started talking with Lauren on the phone, I could hear the passion in her voice to make sure that we had all the information that we needed so that I would feel comfortable and trusting my dog with them. When they say they wanted me to ask them questions and to reach out to them at any time, they meant it. Before we had even made the decision to board and train with them I reached out to them and ask them questions. They spent a lot of time with me talking to me and explain things to me. They were so patient. I am not a novice with dogs I’ve had them my entire life and multiple dogs at a time. They were able to answer all of my questions and any concerns that I had. We made the appointment to come and see them to see if it would be a good fit. We were there for about an hour. I loved being able to do that because I could see how my puppy was relating to them and how they related back to him. I would not leave my children with just anybody, why would I do that with my puppy. We did a thorough vetting. When we dropped him off for the two weeks of training, it was very hard to do but I had absolutely no concerns for his safety or his care. This is more than just a business for Nick and Lauren. This is their passion and their love. They bond with the dogs that are entrusted to their care in a very meaningful and special way. They were so diligent with the training. When we picked a Olaf up. what an amazing difference. I am able to see my dog understanding his choices and making the right choice. They have given me such a beautiful gift of an obedient, well mannered, kind and gentle dog. Lauren and Nick absolutely love these dogs that are entrusted to them. This was the best choice that I could have ever made to give my puppy a happy life. I absolutely adore Lauren and Nick. I am beyond thankful that we found them. It was actually hard for me to have Olaf say goodbye to them because I knew that they were going to miss him. They have continue to reach out to me to check on Olaf to see how he is doing with his ongoing training and have said how much they miss him. If you were looking for someone to train your dog or a place to board your dog, you will never go wrong with choosing them. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Lauren and Nick are absolutely amazing with their training . Nick and Lauren thank you so much for the gift I have a well trained and loving dog. You took the best care of him and I am forever grateful. Thank you 💕💕💕
