Cave Creek K9 Training

The difference was night and day! I enrolled my 1 year old golden retriever in Rodd's board and train program and could not be happier with the results! If you're looking for an experienced trainer who really cares about the dog's wellbeing, look no further than Cave Creek K9! Details about services: We enrolled Buckley in the 4-week board and train program during the month of July 2022. Boarding and training took place at Rodd's beautiful home in Cave Creek. Buckley learned basic obedience commands (sit, stay, come, place, heel, etc.). Rodd sent weekly (if not daily) updates of Buckley's progress. He also took Buckley on field trips to the mall and Home Depot to work on obedience in high distraction environments. After Buckley completed his program, Rodd scheduled follow-up meetings to help with the integration and reinforcement phases of training (humans need to be taught, too!) You can tell he really cares about his dogs and their humans. I cannot recommend this place enough! Thanks again, Rodd :)

Where do I start... Sending my 1.5yo golden retriever to Cave Creek K9 was hands down the best thing I have ever done. I reached out in desperation after my dog was yanking my arm off every walk, barking aggressively at every human and dog we came in contact with, and so disobedient that I thought she would never respect me. I sent Ivy, my golden to Rod for his 2 week boot camp and WOW! She came back a new dog! I look forward to walking her, and enjoy our time together. I would do it over a thousand times. I have already recommended Cave Creek K9 to at least 5 people on our walks after they ask how my dog is so well behaved. Seriously - if you are contemplating getting help from Cave Creek K9, STOP CONTEMPLATING AND JUST DO! It will be the best money you have ever spent.

I had an excellent experience using Cave Creek K9. We brought our 6 month old super high energy lab to Rod. Within an hour he had her listening and minding simple task. We did a one month obedience boot camp. We were so happy when we picked up very well behaved dog. My dog has the same spirit but listens and wants to please when given commands. They not only train the dog they train you how to work with your dog. I highly recommend Cave Creek K9.

We had the best experience with Cave Creek K9 training. Our pup, Silas, came to us as an older puppy. He is a busy and independent dog and we really needed a foundation of good training to build upon. As a family, we needed to be taught how to work with him. I am so happy we found Rodd! Silas participated in his 3-week board and train. Rodd showed us how to keep his focus and bring out the best in Silas, follow commands in a very positive way. He made sure we felt comfortable with how to continue the training at home and continues to be a great resource!
