FirstBarkworking with Cathy was absolutely perfect. She not only worked with our Cane Corso, she worked with my family and I to learn how to establish leadership and be the alpha. Now my walks with Lola are not her pulling me but me getting the exercise I need. I would highly recommend Cathy’s Canines for your dogs training.

We have a 4 yr old border collie 50 lbs who is wonderful with people but becomes aggressive around other dogs, especially by her house. She was attacked by two german shepards and has not been dog friendky since. Can she be retrained?

Cathy was terrific in helping guide and train our 8-week-old golden retriever puppy -- as well as us! We (the owners) needed the training tools even more than the puppy. Within weeks, we had door manners organized as well as eating manners, coming when called, leash training, and lots of fun games for learning, engagement, and bonding opportunities. I reached out to Cathy for help with our 6 month old rescue puppy, Ollie. Ollie was extremely energetic, stubborn, and had little experience being in a home. After reading reviews for multiple trainers Cathy sounded like someone that could really help me and her training style seemed positive but impactful. After the initial meeting we saw improvement and were ready to commit to the 5 week training. Myself, my husband and our puppy all had a very positive experience during each session. Cathy answered all of the questions we had and always took time to listen to our concerns and discuss how we should address them. Ollie has improved so much over just 5 weeks! We went from being frustrated and at our wits end every day to enjoying and building a bond with our puppy. We have to tools to continue to work with Ollie and help be the best pup she can be. I would recommend Cathy to anyone who needs extra help with training!

I cannot say enough great things about Cathy. She is amazing. Her program is amazing!! We have done dog training programs before, but for our new cavapoo puppy, we wanted to do something more personal. And I couldn't be happier with the results. Her in-home visits are packed full of great learning, for me and our puppy Teddy. Cathy demonstrates the skills first and then has us practice them with her in order to build up our confidence so we are comfortable going into each week ready to complete our "homework". Her lessons are never overwhelming. It is all very short, sweet and to the point. It takes practice, but watching her work with the dogs and seeing her get such great results is so motivating. We want to do our homework. I look forward to our sessions and the puppy socials eqch week. She has really built something special and I couldn't be any more satisfied with the experience. Cathy's program is worth every penny.
