Cathy's Canines

We finished our training with Cathy and our cattle dog/border collie mix a few months ago. As most dog owners know, this is an insane combo of breeds and our dog is always full of energy. Cathy did an amazing job working with us and our dog and we finally have some control and calmness in our walks and lives. It was not immediate, but as Cathy says, we’re looking for progress. He had great progress right off the bat, slowed down after our sessions completed, and then as the weather cooled and walks increased he’s improved so much!! We’ve completed one other training course before and it helped some but the rules were difficult to follow and a lot on our dog. Cathy was calm, understanding, and came up with a plan specifically for what we were looking for. Our dog is now loving life being able to walk without having turn around every time we see a dog. There’s still work to do but Cathy gave us a great foundation to start and we’re quickly building upon it. Thank you so much Cathy!! We can not recommend her enough!! Our doggy daycare even said they saw an improvement in him!!

We heard about Cathy’s Canine through another client of hers and decided to try her out because we heard she was so wonderful. We have a brand new English cream puppy who needed some basic puppy training and Cathy was so wonderful with him. In the five lessons we had with her, he has learned to walk nicely on his leash, sit on command, stay, place, play some great games we can play indoors that really get his brain stimulated and so many other useful tools. I can’t recommend Cathy enough for anyone looking to do training for their dog. She has a wonderful dog whispererer like demeanor with every dog she comes in contact with. They immediately have respect for her while also knowing she cares. Cathy’s Canine is the bomb!!!

When Cathy came to meet our 9 month old puppy we had just taken in, I was close to tears he was so wild! She told me within 3 sessions, I’d have a polite puppy that would be great to have around. Well, she delivered!! After our first session, he learned so much - and we did too! And each session built from there. She taught him manners, as well as taught us how to manage his energy levels by engaging him in physical and mental activities that keep him occupied and ready for resting after. Now he is a polite, calm, confident puppy that we can bring around friends, take to the farmers market and out to restaurants. Cathy’s way with dogs, and her great personality make her the best choice to train your dog!
