We offer proven Champion Field Golden Retriever breeding's that align with the GRCA (Golden Retriever of America) standard for breeding. Our breeding age dogs have proven Champion titles & pedigrees. OFA certifications on eyes, Advanced Cardiac, Hips and Elbows along with Genetic testing. We offer APDT certified professional Obedience Training & Retriever/Gundog Training. We have a competitive training program for those interested in building a champion retriever. We have over 25 years working and building the Golden Retriever breed and years of knowledge with various breeds to help you build your next companion, hunting partner or champion level retriever.

Sequential Gundog/Retriever training program that offer multiple levels of training based on the customer needs producing a Hunting dog that works with waterfowl or upland birds.
This program is taught in coordination with and exceeds the Gundog/Retriever training program to prepare and campaign a dog to compete in both AKC and/or UKC/HRC Retriever Hunt Tests.

Great experience with Colter and Castle House Kennels. We got our puppy, Wally, from Castle House. Beautiful, smart puppy. Colter kept us informed throughout all the way up to the day we picked him up. He was always available for questions and to offer training advice. Two months later we took Wally back for obedience training. He turned a wild, stubborn puppy into an obedient, well behaved puppy…and gave us the tools to maintain the training and teach him how to be part of our family. The results were truly impressive. Colter understands dogs and how to get the best out of them. Wally is doing great for us at home! 5 Stars definitely…I’d give more if that was an option.

Castle House Kennels is the right choice for your golden retriever! Colter was great with my dog Steve! He went for basic obedience and came home a completely different dog, calm, well behaved and obedient.

Colter far exceeded our expectations. Our girl was a little tough, to train and listen. But she is doing awesome!!! We would definitely send another one of pups to him again. The kennel was well kept and he was always timely in responding to my messages.

We are deeply indebted to castle House Kennels and Colter Thompson for working with our one year old bernedoodle, Murray. He has improved so much in his time there! The boy knows how to heel like pro and he actually hears and listens to commands. We are actually able to enjoy Murray, and continuing to work on what Colter has taught him during his time with him!

She comes from Castle House’s Zeus and we are extremely excited to see how great of a bird dog she becomes! The kennel and grounds were very well maintained and Colter was a breeze to work with! Our puppy is healthy and already so smart! We hope to stay in touch as we navigate training her since we are too far to send her back to Castle House for training! What a great experience and pup!
