Maya is absolutely fantastic! Her puppy training class was such a great experience from start to finish. She’s patient, knowledgeable, and really understands how to communicate with both dogs and their owners. Our dog Hugo is a little guy with big feelings when it comes to being around other dogs or being in public, and he has made so much progress since we started these classes. Walking by other dogs or going to the park has become so much easier thanks to the tools that Maya gave us. We also learned all the basic commands, plus a few others we didn’t even think of — and they’ve turned out to be really useful! Maya’s positive approach made every session fun and effective. She helped my husband and me find the right ways to correct unwanted puppy behaviors through patience and positive reinforcement. You can tell she truly cares about every dog’s success. I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for a skilled and caring trainer!

Maya was so helpful with teaching me and how to train my dog to walk on a leash better around other dogs. After 4 sessions my dog made very noticeable progress and has been doing so much better on our walks! Maya is knowledgeable in what she does and is so helpful with training and working with your dog as an individual. Gives great tips and tricks and is easily available if you have any questions or concerns in between training sessions. She is very willing to work with you and whatever it is you and your dog need the most help with. I would 100% recommend cape fearless dog training!

Otto is a special guy. Not only is he deaf, but he’s a BIG feeler - big joy, big curiosity, and BIG reactivity. After negative experiences with off leash dogs coming out of nowhere during vulnerable developmental periods in puppyhood, Otto developed reactivity to other dogs. Something interesting about deaf dogs is that they’re very loud, so this reactivity didn’t just impact himself and us, but our other dog, our neighbors, and probably anyone within a mile of his yells lol But Otto is also a very sensitive guy. Corrections will only hardwire the reactions into him further, so we knew we needed to find a +R trainer to work with him. We weren’t simply seeking the reactions to stop, we were looking to change the way he felt about seeing dogs. We wanted him to feel safe, confident, and trust us to handle off leash dogs. Under Maya’s direction, Otto has grown exponentially. While once, we were unable to leave our front door without a reaction, now we are able to go on walks! I will never take for granted the freedom this training approach has given us. Thanks for helping Otto be BRAVE.
