Before Cape Fearless Dog Training, my dog had worked with a different trainer and some of the methods and techniques just lead to more fear and anxiety and ultimately some really bad reactivity issues. Upon a recommendation and reading reviews, I decided to reach out to Maya at Cape Fearless and I’m so glad I did. Maya is a treasure trove of knowledge and intensely observant in getting to know and understand your dog and their behaviors. Maya is so easy to work with and gives you the tools and know how to work with your dog beyond the training sessions. I saw big improvements in my dog’s behavior and demeanor and he is a lot more confident now than he was before. My dog Dune and I are both very thankful for the amazing and helpful services Maya and Cape Fearless Dog Training gave us.

A few months ago, we adopted a 8-month-old Havanese ("Mochi"). Prior to our adoption, she had never been outside of the house. As a result, she was fearful of pretty much *everything* in the environment. After seeing all of the raves here for Cape Fearless, we decided to give Maya a try. It turns out that Maya is every bit as amazing as all the reviews suggest. We signed up for.a 6 session course and after only 4 of those sessions, we see amazing progress. Mochi is so much better in every way. Less skittish, less barkng, and so much more obedient. Maya is not only a great trainer, she's just a wonderful human being. Mochi loves and looks forward to training session, as do we. If you're in need of an excellent dog trainer, you find anyone more kind, compassionate and skilled than Maya. So highly recommended.

Cape Fearless Dog Training truly changed my life. I cannot recommend them more. I signed up for the puppy classes and they helped us in every way. My puppy Quinn LOVED coming to class and absolutely adored Maya. She made every session feel supportive, positive, and fun. She is a life saver and one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Keira our 3-5 year old rescue became very aggressive to people visiting our house, and was reactive to many things when walking. Maya was very patient and worked with us on how to get her used to other people, dealing with reactivity on walks and wearing a muzzle so we could train with visitors more safely. We needed someone who could do the training at our house as that is where the problems occurred. The training was tailored exactly to what we and our dog required, rather than just running through a fixed program. Keira is making great progress and we feel we have the knowledge and skills now to continue her training.
