Heather was so great in helping me train my dog! I adopted him when he was 2 years old, so I wasn’t sure what prior training he had if any. He was very reactive with barking and wouldn’t listen very well. With just a few lessons Heather helped me and my pup build a foundation for listening and recall and now he goes on walks and won’t bark at other people/dogs, which was one of my main reasons for booking with her! She came to my house which was very convenient and has always been responsive if I reached out with any questions. I’d highly recommend her even if your dog just needs some basic training, and I feel she has made me a better dog parent as well!

Working with Heather through Cannon Canine Training has helped us reframe our relationship with our 2 year old Australian Shepherd, Maple, for the better. The process has been challenging, enlightening, and very rewarding. Heather has been accommodating with our variable schedules to meet with us for 1:1 lessons since we wanted to be directly involved in training from the start. Heather is well versed in the working relationship between dog and owner and has helped train us as owners to effectively train Maple. Heather is genuine, has a desire to truly help, is reliable, and is always happy to clarify any questions or concerns we have as they come up. She is always reminding us we are never bothering her and that she is here for us as a resource. We are still working hard, but in just 4 weeks we have seen incredible improvement in Maple's reactivity and attentiveness, with only more to come! We can't recommend Cannon Canine Training enough!

Heather did an outstanding job with our 2.5yr old lab during his 45 day board and train. We set goals during our consultation and she delivered every promise, often times going above and beyond. She educated us regarding animal behavior, what we had previously done incorrectly, how our relationship should work with our dog and what he needs from us to have a happy and fulfilling life. What truly sets her apart is the care she had for our family, patience with training the humans 🙂, and how successful she was with integrating his training back into our family. She had a plan and didnt back down when our dog tested her. Our boy was not an easy student and tested Heather very much, we appreciate her dedication and have been truly amazed at the transformation and structure we’ve been able to enjoy.
