Heather had our timid, smart Sirena for a board and train with the goal resetting my relationship with her as well improving control. I am amazed at the progress! It will be an ongoing effort but the immersive nature of the training was key to making such a big change quickly. The ongoing communication was key to feeling Sirena was well cared for during her “training camp” Heather is like part of the family now.

We couldn’t be happier with the results for our girl Rylie! She has the absolute sweetest disposition for a pup that came from the shelter and found as a stray. That being said she had absolutely no manners and was very skittish. Everything made her jump. She wasn’t sleeping and barked for hours but Heather established great boundaries and gave her love and security while she was in training with her. She has absolutely revealed the great dog that was hiding behind all that negative energy. We would absolutely recommend Heather for any dog training that you would need help with. She is an amazing person and dog trainer. Treated us like we’ve been friends forever. She will be family forever to our dogs and us. This review doesn’t do her justice. On another level her husband is also a great help.

After sending our 9 month old German Shepherd to Canon Canine Training, I can confidently say we made the best possible decision. Our dog was exhibiting some negative behaviors (leash pulling, jumping, going after smaller animals, etc) and we were unable to correct her properly for this. We made the decision to send our dog to Heather for a 45 day board and train after her consultation with us, where she made sure to throughly explain the entire board and train process as well as ask us what behaviors we wanted corrected. Heather is truly an expert when it comes to dog training and behavior, and she made sure we stayed in the loop the entire time she was training our dog. Now that our dog is home, we are continuing her training, which has not been easy, but it’s so worth it!! Heather has continued to support us and check in even after we got our dog back because she truly wants the best for every dog and family she works with. We are so thankful that we sent our dog to such a knowledgeable and caring trainer.

Canon Canine Training - Great Dog Training Heather and Canon Canine were highly recommended by a neighbor as well as a colleague who represents our home builder. We wanted to make sure our new dog was properly trained. Our 8 month Cavapoo is doing very well with the tutelage of Heather. She came to our home for an evaluation and agreed to the training. We have seen huge improvements in our Cavapoo, from walking to basic obedience and tasks. Heather has introduced common sense approaches that work. She is firm, but reasonable based on client objectives. She has years of experience and is well grounded in the science of dog training. Our Cavapoo has done 2 board and train one week sessions which were very beneficial. I highly recommend Canon Canine Training!

Heather at Canine Dog Training has been training our one year old male german shepherd for the past 3 months . He had confidence issues and needed work with his socialization. Her knowledge and training techniques have proven successful in eliminating our dogs issues, and has guided us to be better pet parents.
