The Basic Obedience course was the perfect thing for my pup Lasso at the perfect time. The location was convenient and beautiful, Caro is an amazing trainer and human being, and by the end of the course I was actually shocked what Lasso could do. I underestimated how much I could teach him - he was able to stay in position for 3 minutes even while another distracting dog passed him. The weekly practice helped me learn to set reasonable goals and expectations for what my puppy can learn now and in the future, and reminded me it's ok if he sometimes takes a step backward, since I know he'll improve if I just stay consistent. The format of courses was on Saturdays and Sundays, with Caro teaching basics on the first day then relaying those lessons to me on Sundays when I'd practice them with Lasso. This helped me be more confident and avoided overwhelming my dog by breaking the lessons up. Highly recommend not just for the class but the fact that you'll meet other puppies and dog owner friends while taking the course too!

If I could give 10 stars, I would!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CANINE UNIVERSITY!! Caro is so amazingly passionate about what she does and it absolutely shows. My little guy is very high energy and she was so patient with him. The training is one on one (which I loved) and I was then integrated so that I could learn along with my pup... otherwise, whats the point, right? If I had any questions in between training sessions, Caro was very responsive, quick, and very detailed even through email correspondence. I really can't say enough about how happy and satisfied I am. Myself and Benny just finished our basic obedience and we can't wait to get started on the next level.
