Canine Unifursity Dog Training

We recently finished the 3 week advanced board and train program with Kaylee. Before deciding to send our hyper one year old Bernese mountain dog, my husband and I were at wits end on what to do with him. At the time of training, we had a 3 year old and I was 39 weeks pregnant. We needed a change in behavior quick and needed something effective. We contemplated other classes and training, but we know our boy.. that wasn’t going to work so we decided to go with Canine Unifursity! We met with Kaylee the day we dropped him off, and talked about our goals for Watson. To be honest, when Kaylee asked us this question, I didn’t know how to respond. Watson thrived in chaos and we didn’t know that he could make better choices or what that would even look like. We just wanted him to relax and be a little more under control. Before Watson went to training our house was filled with commands that didn’t work, crating anytime food was involved, and constant counter surfing. Thankfully, Kaylee listened without judgement. She had a pulse on him immediately. Over the time that Watson was there, Kaylee treated Watson as one of her own and I couldn’t ask for anything else from her. When it was time for Watson to come home, I can’t tell you the number of times my jaw dropped during our training session. I am convinced that Kaylee switched out Watson for Watson 2.0 because this dog is the dog we wished for. He is calmer, has way more control around food and jumping on people, and is manageable. Not only did Canine Unifursity give us a well mannered dog, but they gave our house the peace back. We are looking forward to a much more relaxed and fun time with our berner boy. Recently my 3 year old Bernedoodle, Milo, had the pleasure of completing his first board and train at Canine Unifursity, while we were on vacation. After only a week, he made very good progress and also reinforced skills such as, "place, stay" and learning to walk with a gentle leader. They also worked with him to not jump on our guests when he "greets" them. When I went to pick him up after a week, I could tell that he had developed a very good rapport with Kaylee, the trainer. Milo is not just our pet, but a dear member of our family. I could tell that he was very well cared for at Canine Unifursity. It was money well spent, and I would not hesitate to use them again.

We have a new dog, thanks to KayLee & Jake. Their knowledge of dogs is extensive & impressive. I learned, Rory learned to the point where I can now handle him on a leash & take him in public without him freaking out. If you want the training to last, you must be willing to continue their training & work with your dog to have lasting results. Once the training was over, I made Rory my project, since I’m retired. He continues to learn & thrive thanks to the training!

I cannot recommend Canine Unifursity enough for their incredible training expertise. Our dog, Marshy, recently completed a 3-week board and train program to address reactivity, and the results have been truly amazing. From the start, Kaylee was quick to identify that doors were a major trigger for Marshy’s reactivity, something we hadn't fully realized before. What really stands out to me is the way Kaylee puts all the pieces of the puzzle together, helping us understand Marshy in a way we never did before. Her approach is thoughtful, clear, and effective, and it’s evident that she genuinely cares about the dog's (and the family's) well being that she trains.
