My family is extremely grateful for Elliott’s (master trainer) professionalism and dedication toward our dog. He didn't just train “Lucky” (our 160lbs Dane-mix), but he also helped us understand him better. He’s now able to go to dog parks, walk without pulling, and people can visit our home without incessant barking (he even went to the beach without killing anybody). I would 100% recommend his services to anyone trying to better their (and their dog’s) quality of life.

We were so grateful to have Elliot working with us for our border collie. We adopted “Finn” in august of 2021 and he was the perfect dog for three months and then one day he turned into a dog we were scared to own. He began to bite people and charge other adults at the dog park and we were afraid of him. Elliot helped lay down ground work to build a foundation that helped us to have a better relationship with our dog. Finn is now more obedient than our other dog and comes whenever we call him and is no longer a threat.

Elliot has helped us when other trainers were no help at all. From day one he came in ready to get to work and we felt like we got our money's worth out of every session. He truly tailors each training session to your dog's needs and the issues that are important to you. Many trainers just use the same routine of basic commands but Canine Training Services can help with behavior issues and teach you how to use body language so you and your dog can communicate better. Our french bulldog Wilson was having a lot anxiety and some dog aggression after our other dog had passed away. Elliot helped us to use obedience training to help him build confidence and helped us to introduce him in a healthy way to another dog. Wilson now has a friend to play with and is continuing to improve as we keep up with the training skills we learned.

Elliot has changed our life with our plott hound mix, Hazel. We adopted Hazel as a puppy 8 years ago; she is such a sweet girls but has always had high anxiety and dog aggression since being attacked as a puppy in a day care setting. We had tried everything we could to help her overcome this anxiety, paying thousands of dollars for two other training programs in Colorado, that helped temporarily but did not have long term benefits. Her anxiety and reactivity got significantly worse after we moved from Colorado up to Tacoma last summer. She developed horrible separation anxiety to the point of us being unable to leave her home alone, howling for hours, breaking out of her crate and peeing in the house. Any noise (cars driving by, rain on the window, doors closing) left her howling; she was always on alert, and wouldn't go near the front door for months. We couldn't take her anywhere where there'd be other dogs as she'd lunge and viciously bark or try to attack them. It caused us so much worry and stress to see her like this because with us she is such an amazing and well-behaved girl. We were at a loss of what to do and desperate to find a solution for our family. We're so incredibly thankful we found Elliot. He understands working breeds and what they need in order to keep their brain busy and to give them a happy life. Elliot helped us learn what was contributing to Hazel's anxiety and slowly introduced the stimuli to her in a safe way through conditioning. He is truly a dog psychologist - even helping us re-arrange our living room furniture in a way that made transitions less scary for her and improving her quality of life. He takes the time to work with Hazel on her individual needs and find unique solutions to help her - instead of other trainers who had a set standardized program and shrugging if off when it didn't work for her long term. Elliot works to understand the problem and not only work with her but work with the humans in the home as well. The training is as beneficial for us as it is for her. Elliot's training has been a life-changer for us as we can now go anywhere in public with Hazel on leash and not worry about her safety or the safety of other dogs. She is no longer afraid of other dogs and can be around them without reactivity. Last week she even played with another calm, confident dog while she was at daycare - six months ago I would have never believed that could be possible for her. Training with Elliot has been worth every penny. For folks wondering if it's worth the cost - yes, without a doubt, it absolutely is. He allows for pay as you go, as opposed to other training programs who make you pay a lump sum up front, not knowing if you'll get results. His rates are very reasonable for what he offers, and if you stick with it and do your homework with your dog in between sessions, you will absolutely see results. My husband and I had to work hard to afford the extra cost, but there is no doubt in our minds - it was 100% worth the sacrifice. Elliot has helped us keep Hazel in our home and there are no words for what that means to us. The results we've seen are better than we could have ever imagined, and we're so thankful to Elliot for all he has done to help our family.
