Canine Training Center

I can't speak highly enough about Howard and his staff. I have trained my own dogs previously with limited success and I have used other dog training facilities. This training environment surpasses everything I have experienced. My dog Bailey and I attended both the basic and intermediate classes. The training consists of training us humans to understand dogs better, so we can communicate with them. Bailey is a part of our family instead of just being a pet. I regularly take Bailey out in public, to hardware stores, to public events and around other people and dogs. People constantly comment on how well-behaved and obedient she is. The change is because she knows her place in our "pack" and doesn't think she has to assert herself as a leader. This makes her a more relaxed part of our family and easier to work with. I would not consider owning a dog without this training. You should stop by during one of his classes and spend time at the facility, talk with the staff and customers. They will all tell you the same thing. I have attached a few pictures, one of which is Bailey in a "down stay" condition, approximately 70 yards from me, near the highway in front of our home. She will stay in that position, focused on me, ignoring cars and other distractions until I tell her to "come." For me, this one picture speaks volumes about their training. Scott Webb Leonard TX

Updated review! I highly recommend this course (basic and intermediate) I had gone to several other trainers before I found Canine Training Center. I had a fear aggressive 1 year old aussie/border collie mix who was extremely reactive to strangers or new dogs. When we first got to Canine Training Center, we had to stay in a separate room because he would bark at anyone within his vicinity. By session two, he had calmed down a bit. Fast forward a few months, I can bring him to dog parks, to friends houses, to the store, and there is no more worry. He is a completely different dog - obedient, happy, and confident in himself and us as his alphas. My husband and I as well as our dog had to be trained. This is my ideal "happily every after" scenario. We are now doing intermediate class and love it.
