Janie, I am SHOCKED by this review, because the entire this is not at all what actually happened. I do have all of the correspondence we had with you. When you first contacted us it was because you and your dog had been severely abused by your husband. Sherlock was in such severe mental state you had no idea how to help him. This is exactly what we saw when he came. He only came here for a reset to try and help him not be in a constant state of stress due to this abuse. You told us that you were having your husband to pay for it since it was his fault and he would do it to try and get you back. I do have the paperwork you sent describing all of this. We actually helped Sherlock more than I initially thought would be possible however, I was very clear, Sherlock my would NOT be able to be a service dog due to the severity of his behavior as a result of the abuse. You then got a puppy in hopes to train the puppy as a service dog. HOWEVER, this puppy was only 5 WEEKS OLD! We immediately told you this puppy would not be a Good Candidate for service dog either as he had left mom and siblings way too young. We let you know that the only way we would consider helping you with this puppy as a service dog is for you to send the puppy for intensive training and socialization with us at that time. He actually excelled in this extremely important learning phase. However, when he came back to you he was still only 8 weeks old. Puppies can only understand and learn certain things this young. However, when Keisha Called you to set up your follow up and you stated you were going a different direction. I have all our texts about all of this. I am completely surprised to see this review from you and I apologize for putting your personal life on the internet for the world to see but you left me no choice by stating all these lies above. I was very passionate about helping you as my own mother was also extremely abused by her ex as well. I decided wanted to do whatever I could to help poor Sherlock. It is unfortunate that you did not complete your full program. We always have a follow up session at the dogs home that is a free in home session. When we attempted to schedule we didn’t get a response. This is Paramount to the success to the success of the program. Dogs do not generalize well. So we have to show you how to keep things consistent. First we wanted to get the prong collar off and we walked her with an easy Walker. This made her feel much more comfortable on walks. We could walk her easily around our neighborhood with the easy Walker. I think you noticed how much more comfortable she was with us when she wouldn’t walk with you but when Keisha took the leash she trotted right along with her to the front. We never do the follow up on the day the dog goes home because it is useless. The dog is so excited to see their family. She actually learned ALOT and because you didn’t do your follow up you never got to see it all other than the videos we sent you while she was here. I do hope the other person who promised you they would know if she was trainable in 3 days and you could come get her if not was more honest with you in the end. All dogs can learn new behavior. With older dogs it just takes a little longer. I also hope you did go to an eye specialist because they are the ones who can tell you truthfully if she has vision problems which I know she does but please get a professionals diagnosis. She is an amazing dog. But deserves understanding and patience that I hope you give her. Valerie
