As someone with over 50 years of dog training experience—ranging from obedience and search-and-rescue to being part of a Doberman drill team—I’ve worked with many trainers and facilities over the years. I contacted Canine Purpose in September 2023 after several local trainers turned me away because my dog was deemed “aggressive.” Almost a year and a half later, I still bring my dog for weekly training, boarding for vacation, and day play. In this short time he has progressed from reactive obedience to Advanced CGC obedience training. Wes and his team of trainers genuinely care about their clients and their owners. The training is a balance of positive reinforcement, corrections and utilizing tools appropriately to help handlers communicate with their dogs. Their pricing is incredibly fair for the value, and their online booking platform is user-friendly. I cannot say enough positive things about this company. If you’ve read this entire review and still aren’t convinced, pictured is my dog holding a down command in a group of other dogs. He always looks concerned, but he had just experienced an elevator ride for the first time. His confidence has skyrocketed with his training and exposure, and he has little or no reaction towards other dogs.
