My dog has behavioral issues (aggression/reactivity). He requires medication and needs rules and routine. Canine PhD has been our saving grace for boarding. I used to spend entire trips anxious that he would hurt our dog sitters or behave so poorly that he would be unable to take his medication. I was at a loss for what to do. Canine PhD was recommended by our veterinarian. He has stayed three times over the past three months and, for the first time in years, I feel at ease when traveling. The staff here are experts at what they do. I know my dog is safe and well-cared for. He has never had a behavioral issue at Canine PhD, and I trust that if he did, they would know how to handle it. As a bonus, my dog is so excited when we arrive. I think there’s a natural guilt to expect dropping your dog off at boarding. He makes that difficult as he pulls me into the lobby and does not look back when he finds the staff.

I live in Pine Lake and am a neighbor to Meredith, owner of Canine PhD. She consistently responds when neighbors report that a dog has just been abandoned here or a feral cat needs assistance. Unfortunately, these calls are endless. Meredith rescues these poor souls, pays for all medical care, helps them to feel safer in this world, while giving them a safe Harbour at her facility until they get adopted. I know of countless times that Meredith has answered the calls to take traumatized, hurt animals to emergency clinics at all hours of night. She then rehabilitates them at Canine PhD.
