Canine Perspective: Structured Daycare, Boarding & Training

We cannot express how thankful we are to have found Jesse and how grateful we are for the staff at Canine Perspective for taking the best care of our pup. Our dog, an 8 year old Husky, got kicked out of his last daycare because he bit a handler (thankfully it was not a serious bite and the handler was ok) but we understood why they were not able to take him anymore. We found Jesse, trained with him for 12 weeks and we learned so much from him. We had tried other trainers and they really did not compare to Jesse. Now, we are better able to manage our dog's behavior and have a better understanding of what triggers his reactiveness. We also use Canine Perspective's boarding services feeling confident that my dog is being well-taken care of in a structured setting. My dog does have to be muzzled during his stays as a precaution. I know my dog and I understand why Canine Perspectives requires him to be muzzled. I am just thankful that they are willing to care for him despite his small issues. They really are the best!

Our experience at Canine Perspective has been incredibly positive, and we feel blessed to have discovered such a loving, caring place for our dog. We would not hesitate to recommend Canine Perspective to anyone with a dog. Our 18 month old Bernedoodle Brody has been part of their programs since he was a puppy. From puppy training to day care to overnight boarding, we have always felt that the staff at Canine Perspective has our dog's best interests at heart. A few key things to note: 1. We love Canine Perspective's transparency about its programs. From the website to the YouTube channel, before even having any conversations with the team, we were able to get a very accurate understanding of their training and boarding style. This type of structured, formal training may not be right for everyone or every dog, but that's the beauty of learning about it thoroughly beforehand. 2. The staff has always been incredibly loving. They know our dog by name, understand his quirks, work with us to communicate any issues, and simply make him feel loved. He literally runs to the daycare/boarding door when we drop him off because he's so excited! 3. This review is long overdue since we remark almost daily what a profound, positive influence Canine Perspective has been for us and for our dog. We have not been compensated for this review in any way. There are, however, a group of reviews here that all seem related to one experience but are posted by extended family and friends. If that's indeed the case, to me it would be just as disingenuous as a reviewer posting about a hotel they've never set foot in or a doctor they've never had an appointment with. I sincerely hope that anyone with a less than positive impression of Canine Perspective finds the right fit for their dog. And I encourage those reading reviews to seek those that come from actual clients (i.e. the actual dog moms and dads out there!). Dogs are an incredible joy, and Canine Perspective has helped us and our dog live a truly full life together. Thank you Canine Perspective, Jesse and team for all you continue to do to enrich the lives of dogs and their families.

I would consider the influx of positive reviews to showcase our support and solidarity to the staff and business of Canine Perspective. As a first time puppy owner I went through it all but gratefully I came across this business and have nothing BUT amazing things to say. Enrique and Liz have been exceptional in everything they do and I can't be more grateful. I started as a board and train, went into e-collar training (which I never thought I would ever do) and now my pup goes to weekly daycare. Thanks to them and my continued practice of their teachings, my dog thrives more and more everyday, which is setting him up for success in the long run. We can't let one bad review judge the character of the business. I want to state that you are all greatly appreciated and for new coming customers, don't look twice over deciding where to train and/board your pup!

I trust Jesse and the ENTIRE team at Canine Perspective with our pup. Any recommendations they have are fully thought out and are necessary for the safety of our pup, their staff, and other dogs in their care! We felt hopeless when our pup was showing signs of leash reactivity and even taking him for a walk was a stressful occurrence. After training from Canine Perspective, we felt a weight lifted and such relief that he was able to calmly go on long walks again! After training was completed, we continue to take him to this facility for daycare as I know that he is watched carefully and we love the structured activities that other daycares don’t offer. I have never once worried about the safety of this facility and trust the staff completely. Jesse has always been supportive, responsive, encouraging, and incredibly helpful - even when we asked simple questions over email! You can tell he loves his job and all of our pups and really wants the best for them. We know how hard it is to socialize reactive dogs and we trust Jesse and Canine Perspective to do so safely and effectively. We will continue to send our dog to Jesse and Canine Perspective because we know he is always safe and cries out of excitement as soon as he sees we’ve arrived!

We first met Jesse of Canine Perspectives because we were looking for training help with our 140 pound great dane with guarding issues. However, we have used Canine Perspectives many, many times for daycare and boarding since. They are the only facility that we will use to board our dog. Before we found Canine Perspectives, we had had many bad experiences with facilities where they essentially let the dogs run amuck together throughout the day and only board them in a room overnight. Whenever he came back from one of those places, he was much more poorly behaved (not listening, very amped up) than when we dropped him off. Canine Perspectives utilizes a structured approach that focuses on training and downtime as well as group play (if the dog is able) and individual attention. They have a 3 Day evaluation period to see how your dog socializes with other dogs and humans so that your dog has the best experience possible. Now when Dexter comes back, he is so well behaved and we know he had a wonderful time. Plus, we occasionally get to see a video or pic of him on their Instagram which is so nice to see how he's doing. I very, very highly recommend Canine Perspectives for daycare and boarding!
