I’m not sure where to begin. I was very hesitant to put my Golden Retriever Jovi in a board and train facility. I googled places and found franchise based centers and didn't like what i found. I continued my research and found Steve and K9 Nation NWA. I studied his website and watched every video. I loved everything I read and the videos gave me an insight of Steve’s personality and his passion for training. Steve’s knowledge in training is unlike any other. He truly loves dogs and meets them where they are and patiently takes them where they need to be. Him and Jovi made a wonderful bond! I could not be more happy with Jovi’s training. It was important to me for her to have boundaries, basic commands, and grasp potty training. She accomplished all of this and more at K9 Nation NWA. Steve would send me daily videos of what they were training on. These were the highlight of my days. To know how much fun she was having, how much progress she was making, and most importantly how safe she was. I cannot recommend K9 Nation enough-you will not be disappointed. It is the best decision you can make for your dog and yourself. We look forward to boarding days and daycare visits as we will always consider this place home! 🩷

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Steve! Before working with him, our dog Murphy was constantly bringing in acorns, leaves, and sticks — and he had a bad habit of chewing up our evergreen trees. We were honestly at our wits’ end! We were very hesitant to leave Murphy for an extended time, but Steve immediately put us at ease with his calm demeanor and obvious professionalism. You can tell right away that he truly understands and loves dogs. He kept in touch throughout Murphy’s training, letting us text as often as we wanted for updates, and he sent lots of videos so we could see Murphy’s progress — which meant the world to us. The results have been incredible. Now, all we have to do is say “no,” and Murphy drops the acorns or sticks right away — and he hasn’t touched the evergreens since! More than that, he’s calmer, happier, and so much more responsive. Steve didn’t just train Murphy — he helped us learn how to communicate better with him. We’re so grateful for the time, care, and heart he put into helping our dog. If you’re looking for a trainer who’s not only skilled and professional but also kind, patient, and deeply caring, Steve is the one. He’s truly amazing, and we couldn’t recommend him more! 🐾❤️

Best dog trainer!! My two 5 year old female dogs started becoming aggressive with my sister’s female dog. I didn’t think it was possible to train a dog this late in life, but Steve did it! Our 3 dogs went to board and train for 3 weeks. We were very fortunate, because while Steve’s kennel was still being worked on, the pups were able to live with him in home and had training all day long. The girls learned basic obedience, which taught them how to respect me and how to cohabitate with my sister’s dog as well. They now understand that “Yes” means reward and “No” means discipline. When training was complete, Steve personally brought the girls back home to see how they would do being home for the first time. They are been doing great so far! He offers lifetime classes for the remainder of the dog’s life and I definitely plan on attending those! He is a friend for life and my dog’s lives and I will forever be touched by the effort he has put into us!

The BEST!!! Steve had our 3 dogs for 3 weeks and truly made a world of difference. They were unable to be in the same room as each other and Steve helped bridge that gap and they are now able to coexist. Steve is so patient and kind and the dogs truly love and respect him. If you’re looking for a dog trainer, Steve is the best choice!!! Thank you again for everything you have done for our pups.

I am highly impressed with the quality and care this place puts into their clients. I sent my Doberman, Winifred, to him and could not be more satisfied. She was well cared for, has a firm foundation, and really enjoyed her time there. I was fully informed on how to continue her training, and was very impressed with Steve's responsive nature even though I know he is a busy man. Highly recommend to everyone that I come in contact with and will be using him again.
