Canine Karma Dog Training

Absolutely amazing results seen from the Canine Karma team! Our dog did the 30 day board and train after we had him for several months from an animal rescue. The team was always responsive and has answered any and all questions or concerns we have had since bringing our dog home. Will continue to recommend them for anyone looking for training, we appreciate the attention and care from all of the trainers and are SO appreciative of the work they did with our dog. He is so much more relaxed, obedient, and loving after his time spent with the team. We can’t thank you enough!!!

My experience with David and Canine Karma Dog Training goes back about a decade ago. I have an Australian Cattle Dog mix who I worked with every day to try to meet his needs, but I had no idea how to properly handle his aggression and territorial behaviors. By the time we finally sat down with David for training, Jake was about 7 years old, and our biggest goal was simply to be able to have other dogs in the house without worrying that Jake would try to rip them to pieces. After meeting with David and talking through my relationship with my Jake, I’ll admit that some of what I learned was a tough pill to swallow. But we put in the work, and the results were incredible. Jake stopped being reactive on walks. He could look out the front door and watch another dog walk by without barking. Our neighbors’ dogs could be barking under the fence into our yard, and Jake would just look at us with a face that basically said, “Can you believe this guy?” David didn’t just train my dog—he helped me understand how my behavior and communication affected Jake, and that has made all the difference. Fast forward a few years, and Jake is now 14 going on 15, and has a sister—an adorable Yellow Lab. Not only does he tolerate her, he actually likes her. I never imagined this would be possible for us, and I can say without hesitation that it’s 100% thanks to David and his training. So if you are on the fence, or think your dog is too old to be trained, I assure you they are not.

We brought our dog Devin, an 8½-year-old pitbull, to Canine Karma Dog Training because she was extremely reactive and clearly needed more structure. We chose the 30-day board-and-train program, and now that it’s been one month since completing it, we are extremely satisfied with the results. They completely cleaned up her heel, sit, down, and place commands, and the difference in her overall behavior is amazing. Devin came home far more focused, calmer, and much more manageable in situations that used to overwhelm her. It’s important to note, though, that the training doesn’t stop when your dog comes home. You need to be ready to put in your share of the work to keep the training going, because consistency is what really makes the results stick. If you’re willing to do that, you’ll get the best outcome possible. We also just had our refresher lesson with another dog present, and Devin did fantastic. She continuously gave us eye contact, listened well, and wasn’t reactive at all—something we never thought we’d see before training. We’re incredibly happy with Canine Karma and the transformation they helped bring out in Devin. Highly recommend!

I came to Canine Karma feeling completely at a loss about how to help my dog, Millie. She struggled with severe anxiety around new people, places, and everyday life. Walks had become my least favorite part of the day because she constantly wanted to turn around and dart home at the slightest noise or car passing by. Inside the house, she barked aggressively at anyone who came to the door, paced constantly, and completely panicked anytime we tried to crate her. It felt like every day revolved around managing her anxiety and trying to prevent reactions. After the 45-day board and train, I truly could not believe the difference in Millie. David, Isabela, and Layla have completely transformed her into a confident, happy, and content dog. She now loves going on walks, stays in a heel, and no longer tries to bolt when triggers pop up. At home, she’s calm, listens to commands, and isn’t afraid of every movement or sound. The pacing and constant stress are gone. I feel like I have my life back. Instead of managing anxiety all day, I get to enjoy my dog. They didn’t just train Millie — they helped bring out her sweet, silly personality that was always in there. I can’t recommend Canine Karma enough. It was truly life-changing for both of us.
