Canine Cooperative

I’ve been searching for a board-and-train program for my 10-month-old puppy, who’s been showing some adolescent regressive behaviors. When the receptionist called to schedule a consultation, I got emotional because I was feeling really lost about what to do. She immediately reached out to the owner, who took the time to get on the phone with me right away. We spoke for over 40 minutes, going over my puppy’s behaviors and specific tools I could start using at home to help correct them. She didn’t expect anything in return — she just genuinely cared and asked me to follow up in a week to let her know how things were going. That kind of kindness and patience meant a lot. The board-and-train program is definitely an investment, but if I decide to move forward, it will absolutely be with them because of how compassionate, knowledgeable, and supportive they’ve already been.

I don’t know how there aren’t more reviews for Jamiee and Sabrina. The most down to earth dedicated trainers I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. They helped spark a joy in training with my reactive dog and give me such amazing comfort when I leave my dog Beau with them for boarding. The all in program is one of the best investments in my relationship with my dog I’ve ever made. They are the reason I am so bonded with my crazy goofy dog.

To put it simply, Canine Cooperative changed our life. When we adopted Bruce and his concerning behaviors came to light, we were so scared and anxious about what our life was going to look like. Bruce was incredibly reactive on the leash, trying to bite our friends and family, and resource guarded. We couldn’t have anyone in our home safely and at times it felt like we couldn’t even be in our home safely. From the moment we walked through the doors at Canine Cooperative all of our fears and anxieties were immediately put at ease. Bruce adored Jamiee, Sabrina and Vicky. Dropping him off certainly wasn’t easy but they were constantly updating us and sending pictures and videos of our happy guy. He was running and playing with other dogs and we simply couldn’t believe our eyes. At the same time, they were coaching us and showing us how to exist in the world with Bruce. How to make it more comfortable for him and for us. This is not your average obedience training. They help you understand your dog and the world around them in ways you never knew existed. When the program came to a close, they didn’t hand us back a new dog, they gave us understanding, tools to keep him and others safe, and the keys to a new and happy life with Bruce. Bruce now walks happily on a leash, friends and family can enter our home and Bruce sits patiently in his crate or in “place”, and most importantly he is happier than ever. The work being done at Canine Cooperative is life saving. We were at a breaking point an had even considered rehoming Bruce before we found CC and saying that now absolutely breaks my heart. Bruce just needed people to understand him and speak his language, and Canine Cooperative helped us do just that. Without Jamiee and Sabrina and the rest of the angels at CC, I don’t know what our future with Bruce would have looked like. Because of them, we got a second chance at life without our soul dog. We are thankful everyday for their dedication to these special pups.

I cannot recommend Canine Cooperative enough. Sabrina & Jaimee quite literally saved my mental sanity. I reached out in October of 2023 for help with my dog, Stella, and her overwhelming leash reactivity. We had worked with several other trainers, many of which focused solely on obedience. The result was a very showy dog who knew lots of tricks, but couldn’t walk down the street without blowing up at the sight of another animal. Her reactivity was escalating and I was at a breaking point. Sabrina spent a solid 30 minutes with me on the phone talking to me like a human with a dog, not a drill sergeant. She understood our story and explained the importance of biorhythm and mindset, and how obedience and corrections mean nothing when the dog is chaotic instead of calm. After this conversation, I knew we found our people! Stella took to everyone immediately, which made me feel completely at ease when it came time for the board and train portion of the ‘All In’ program. Sabrina & Jaimee have been incredible teachers, not just for Stella, but for me as well. They are extremely knowledgable, supportive, and patient. They take time to explain the concepts of the MELLO method, and really set you up for success with your dog. They focus heavily on teaching you as an owner, so that you can have a better understanding of your dog. This has been an absolute game changer for us. Owning a dog with big feelings is hard work, but Sabrina and Jaimee have walked the walk. Because of them Stella’s world has become so much bigger, more filled with adventure, and both of our quality of life has improved significantly.

Before working with the Coop, we were seriously at a loss. We have 2 large dogs, 1 a pit mix, and we just felt like we couldn't live our life due to his insecurities... and ours. We never had people at our house and really had no one to watch them if we needed to go away so we were truly stuck in an endless cycle. After finally making the choice to do something about it, we met the wonderful owners of Canine Cooperative and we've learned so much. Jaimee and Sabrina are the most understanding and patient pair of trainers we've ever met. Through the All-In Program, they helped our dogs navigate the world with a clear understanding and never faltered when things got difficult, especially with how unsure our pit mix can be. But they didn't just teach the dogs, they taught US. We have learned how to speak dog now, and understand what our dogs were thinking and feeling before they reacted. It's still a work in progress but we feel more confident every day and we can advocate for them so much better now. We finally hosted our first holiday and it was such a huge success. Not only did they do well and get compliments on their behavior, but we got compliments on how well we did with them. We can't thank Canine Cooperative enough!!
