Canine City

I have a high anxiety german shepherd 1 year old. I contacted Canine City after reading google reviews. Andy was quick to answer any questions I had, responding in a timely fashion. After speaking with him I signed my dog up for the 3 week board and train. Andy's demeanor is very professional, knowledgeable, patient, and kind. He was very good at explaining the "why's" of the problem areas we were having, and was excellent at explaining the solutions. He genuinely cares about dogs and understands abundantly the behavior of dogs. My dog and I now have the tools to help her anxiety, and make my dog and I a more compatible duo, on and off leash. I recommend highly!!!

I will recommend Canine City to anyone in a heart beat. Andy is kind and not condescending. We brought our dog who was becoming reactive on walks and to other dogs passing by our property. He was so nervous about a lot of things in our house. Andy taught our dog how to have a calm mind and also taught us how to continue his training of keeping a calm mind in all situations. The difference in our dog is amazing. Even my neighbor commented on his new calm. His training will contine to be a journey as we explore more fun adventures with him but Andy gave us the knowledge and training to do and enjoy these adventures with our dog.

Andy was a life changer for Cash! I purchased three private lessons for my mini longhair dachshund who was 4 months old - and let me tell you, totally different puppy even after one lesson. I talked to a few different trainers before making the final decision to go with Andy, the deciding factors being that it was clear he wasn’t just telling me what I wanted to hear. Andy corrected me when I was asking for too much from my pup too soon, and walked me through all the steps on how to get him there. Andy didn’t allow me to fall for the “it’s just the breed” stereotypes and I’m more confident in my training with Cash, now more than ever. Cash was going crazy on the leash, wouldn’t listen to commands when distracted, biting my pants, wouldn’t go down or up stairs that he didn’t like, and going after my cat all the time…. He’s now awesome on the leash, the biting has almost completely disappeared, stairs are a no brainer (within minutes Andy has this handled), and the cat is 10x better (a work in progress but they are now easily spending so much more time together and calmly!!) Its really hard to find someone you trust with your animal, Cash is my baby, but I definitely trust Andy as he treats Cash like one of his own. I would absolutely recommend his program to anyone. We will be back for day camp. The price is worth it 10x over. Do not hesitate!
