Calypso Canine

I communicated solely with the husband but found on pickup that all training was completed by the wife, whom we never met. He learned loose leash walking (not a priority for us but nice regardless), sit, and place. We were very happy with the Place command as that assisted us greatly with his excitement regarding our toddler/guests. We would have liked if it were customized more to our needs that we discussed (such as down, leave it, and/or threshold manners), but they did a fine job. They were very accommodating to our scheduling needs and were able to get us in quickly. This husband and wife team have a lot going on with multiple businesses and things seemed a bit rushed/disorganized. The $3k price point for what we received feels a little steep, and I don't think they communicated very well how much work would be required of the owners after training is complete (we knew it wouldn't be magic, but the communication up front is a bit lacking). Overall we would definitely recommend Calypso, just recommend that you make sure your expectations and their commitments are aligned.

We sent our two-year-old Pomsky, Wolfe, to Calypso Canine for their 10-day training program, and it was truly the best decision we’ve ever made for our family. Wolfe was a wild, crazy little guy before training. Several months later, the results still blow us away. Wolfe is now happy, confident, and completely reliable off-leash. If he is required to be on a leash he never pulls and walks by our side. He can run and play like a dog is supposed to, but always comes back when called. The transformation has been incredible! We now bring Wolfe everywhere with us, and people constantly stop us to compliment how well-behaved and happy he is. Our whole family is so much more relaxed and joyful because of it. Happy dog, happy family 🤗 Calypso Canine quite literally saved us. The trainer is amazing, and the program is worth every penny! He’s always available for questions after you complete the program! If you have any doubt, don’t! Mike is truly a master at what he does. Not only was the training and end result incredible, but the support before, during, and after has been unmatched. From the day I brought my puppy home, Mike answered every question I had, even though we did not officially start training until three months later. I came home with the same dog, just with manners, structure, and respect for rules. The transformation has been amazing. I cannot recommend or thank Mike and his family enough!
