Calm K9 Training

Going thru this program was a massive mistake. I started out with a dog that had issues with jumping and ended up with a dog that pees when he’s scared and bites people. When I took the training plan to my vet he was horrified. At the end of the training when my dog was still having issues the trainer simply stopped replying to my messages. I spent a ton of time and money on this program, and it made my dog worse. He’s since gone through different training and has resolved his biting and peeing issues. Do not put your dog through this.

Calm K9 was exactly what we needed and I am so glad we found them! My dog's behavior is now completely different and we are able to take him for walks again, have people over without him jumping on them or escaping out the door, and even call him in from the backyard and have him come! I can tell him to drop something and he will. My kids are able to give commands to the dog and play with him without him going crazy. These might be basics of obedience but after two + years of trying to train my dog on my own, life with him was still chaotic. Carl and Calm K9 really were an answer to prayer. Carl was great to work with--he was patient, answered all my questions and was very responsive to questions that I had during the week. The training required time and commitment from me and it was 100% worth it. I would recommend Calm K9 to anyone!

I am writing a review about nine months after finishing training. I have a standard schnauzer that we E collar trained at 8 months with Calm K9 after working on the basics on our own at home. Our dog has always been very obedient and eager to please, but very distractible and impulsive. We worked with Carl for the usual four sessions, and then he was gracious enough to add on two more sessions at no charge to work on further skills outside of a dog park. We are so incredibly happy with the results of the training. Do not be deceived, it is a lot of hard work and dedication and if you were not willing to put in the time and effort, the money that you will have spent will not matter. But if you are willing to put in the time and effort, it may well be the best $750 you will ever spend! Our dog is a month younger than our toddler, and so we really needed a well mannered dog since we knew that our toddler is not as trainable 😂. Nori is now an awesome, trustworthy member of the family. We hike with her off leash, bike with her off leash, and walk with her off leash. It has taken a lot of consistency, but we get so many comments on how well mannered and well trained she is. I have referred two Coworkers to calm K9, and they are also very happy with the results! I highly recommend working with Carl, he was awesome and very reliable!

We brought our shelter dog to David for the board and train. We were having nipping issues, seperation anxiety, and disobedience with getting into everything even after we secured things away (so we thought). It got to the point where if we left for a bit we had to leave our pup outside due to destroying things/eating things that could hurt him. When we got snoop back he was a completely different dog. He still wants to go explore the kitchen when hes not in command but a simple come brings him right back. Before training our other dog was terrified from constantly being nipped on the feet and now that is completely gone. They now go outside together with no issues and our other pups anxiety is going away. I think my favorite part may be off leash training. Being able to take snoop on walks on trails and let him have freedom has been amazing. We are able to pass other sogs with no reactivity, just looks to see whats going on but no pause or heaitation. I would highly recommend anyone who needs training for their dog to go through calm k9, they were absolutely wonderful. Words cant express how greatful we are to have our dogs problems addressed in a way that has led to him being way more relaxed and happy in the day to day.
