Theresa quickly provided the exact guidance I need to effectively train my dog. I have a 6-year-old rescue dog who has been with me for 5 years. We just relocated here from California where every dog has their own fenced yard. So imagine my dog's surprise in her new environment. She had never even been on a leash. Theresa recommends a transitional leash to improve communication and we are working on dog socialization by introducing her dogs to mine. What a transformation is occurring! It is a calming form of training for dog and dog owner. Thank you, Theresa, for your compassion and teaching skills.

Highly recommend! Theresa worked wonders with my out-of-control German Shepherd. My husband and I didn’t give our puppy the proper training, so we ended up with an almost one year old puppy who didn’t listen, jumped on everyone, pulled the leash, was hyper 24/7, went potty in the house, and chewed up everything. After spending roughly three weeks with Theresa, she is a completely different dog! We are amazed & blessed that Xena’s problems were fixable & in such a short amount of time. Of course, we still have a long road ahead, but Theresa has been there every step of the way, and is willing to continue to help. She has such a kind heart, and training dogs is definitely her calling in life.

I can’t recommend Theresa/By My Side Canine highly enough. With two Cocker Spaniel pups just 3 months apart, I was pretty much doing everything wrong, and they took full advantage of what I didn’t know. After several weeks with Theresa, they are home and doing so well. She taught me a lot as well-and it’s like a different household. (One in which I’m FINALLY the master!) Of course, the learning continues for all of us, but Theresa is never more than a text or phone call away. She treated my dogs great and when I recently took my little girl back for a visit, she didn’t want to leave-she loved it there! Theresa was kind but firm, and my pups have become so much more respectful and enjoyable. Do they push their limits some days—you bet! But it’s usually when I let my guard down. The e-collar training has been very successful for us. Thanks Theresa for your dedication to a fine skill.

I have 2 Dobermans. After my make passed away my female was lonely. I decided to rescue a male Doberman from Oklahoma Doberman Rescue. The male and female did not get along. As a police officer I tried tactics used by other K9 handlers. Problem was I wanted a pet not a police dog. By My Side came in and worked patiently with me and my dogs. They now play together all the time and are a joy to be around!
