When my puppy gets all his shots will it be okay to start training
Hi Sandra, We offer a puppy preschool class for undervaccinated puppies 8-16 weeks of ag. The medical requirement are that they must have received their first distemper/parvo vaccine and ten days must have passed since it was administered. You must also provide us with a copy of a negative fecal test result indicating no parasites were found in your puppy's stool. We sanitize our entire facility and equipment used during the class with Rescue, a veterinary hydrogen peroxide based cleaner before each preschool class. For puppies who have completed the series of puppy vaccines and have their rabies vaccine, we have a puppy kindergarten for puppies 4-7 months of age.

I love the positive and personalized approach at Building Bonds. I’ve worked with Kim with private lessons and with Kim and Elizabeth in group classes and all of my interactions have been great. Even in the group classes the trainers take the time to understand my pups (and me) and give specific advice on how to be successful. Their training is geared towards developing happy, well-adjusted, safe pets. They offer plenty of choices related to how we approach a particular behavior with our dogs (e.g., how much jumping to allow,, how much leeway on a walk). They really do emphasize communication—understanding your dog and the dog understanding your commands.
Kim and Elizabeth are helpful, informative trainers. They armed me with the tools I need to successfully train my dog. The small group setting was perfect and over the 6 weeks we learned so much.
Recently finished Kim's amazing Shock-Free Snake Safety course with my one year old lab Gabby, and it was fabulous! Recently finished Kim's amazing Shock-Free Snake Safety course with my one year old lab Gabby, and it was fabulous! Gabby learned to recognize nearby rattlesnakes and turn away from them without using any sort of negative punishment which I loved. Now as we walk through our semi-rural neighborhood she lets me know where the snakes are and we stay away! Kim is a wonderful trainer and this is a terrific course! Highly recommend it!
