Building Bonds Behavior Center provides professional, force-free dog training and behavior consulting in Tucson, Sahuarita, and Green Valley, Arizona. Led by certified behavior consultant Kim Silver, Building Bonds specializes in puppy training, everyday behavior challenges including fear, anxiety and stress, using science-based, positive reinforcement methods. Services include private training, behavior consultations, and group classes tailored to each dog’s individual needs. When my puppy gets all his shots will it be okay to start training
Hi Sandra,
We offer a puppy preschool class for undervaccinated puppies 8-16 weeks of ag. The medical requirement are that they must have received their first distemper/parvo vaccine and ten days must have passed since it was administered. You must also provide us with a copy of a negative fecal test result indicating no parasites were found in your puppy's stool. We sanitize our entire facility and equipment used during the class with Rescue, a veterinary hydrogen peroxide based cleaner before each preschool class. For puppies who have completed the series of puppy vaccines and have their rabies vaccine, we have a puppy kindergarten for puppies 4-7 months of age.

Kim is a phenomenal trainer with both the 4 legged and 2 legged trainees. She has given me great strategies to help reduce the reactivity with our boy Jackson who just loves Kim. Everything was new to Jackson and he is adapting everyday. We signed up for the individual training both at her center and in our home. We see positive changes as he is definitely more calm in his safe environment. I highly recommend Kim for your own dog training. We are excited to be part of the Building Bonds family. Chris

Building Bonds is a terrific training facility, which has both indoor and a very useable outdoor space for training and fun. Any person we’ve encountered at Building Bonds has been kind and helpful.
We worked mostly with Kim Silver, the owner. We had gotten an 8 week old Labrador puppy. We’ve raised many Labradors, but this one was a challenge. Kim has been knowledgeable and effective at helping us navigate Eliza’s growing. She’s helped us raise her to a loveable ten month old puppy, and we’ve survived so far!
Kim is good at all kinds of issues, and conducts fun classes. We’ve experienced Kim’s skill with puppies, not only with our own, but we’ve also watched other puppies grow and learn. We recommend Building Bonds wholeheartedly!

We’ve take. 5 classes here and Bella has grown and improved so much! She loves going and is very responsive to the training techniques taught. They also have a very nice facility and excellent instructors!

I took a virtual course from Kim at Building Bonds and I learned so much. I have difficult dogs and I have felt a bit stuck in certain areas in my training. I am feeling refreshed with more knowledge and a new perspective on helping my dogs. I do plan to take more classes from Building Bonds!

I just finished taking Kim's BAT class online with a few other professional trainers and it was an awesome class. The materials and videos provided helped me better understand how to use this method with my clients and I'm excited to see how these new skills will benefit my clients and their reactive dogs. Kim is an excellent teacher and took the time to answer all questions and provide real life experiences to show how effective this method is in helping dogs who struggle . I highly recommend this course !
