Buck Wild Dog Training

Buck Wild Dog Training came recommended to us from multiple sources, and we were initially excited to begin working with them. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the start. The private sessions we attended fell far short of expectations, and we often left feeling more confused than supported. In addition, Victoria at times came across as unkind and dismissive, which made it difficult to feel encouraged as new puppy parents. After being told we would benefit from a package, we paid for three follow-up sessions in advance. When one of the scheduled sessions was canceled due to heat, we tried to rebook but encountered ongoing issues with communication. Emails and texts went largely unanswered, and when we finally requested a refund, we received curt responses that referenced only their no-refund policy without offering real solutions. It was only at that point that we were told about an online booking system and retail options, neither of which were ever explained upfront. Both Victoria and Chris also refused to speak with us over the phone to resolve the issue, insisting instead on slow email communication and citing a 72-hour response time. In the end, we were essentially forced to use our $300 credit on dog treats and toys — something we never would have signed up for when seeking professional training. Overall, while Buck Wild may have skill with dogs, the lack of professionalism, poor communication, unwillingness to speak directly with clients, and unkind interactions left us extremely dissatisfied. Save your time, money, and energy — find a trainer who values their clients and stands behind their services.

Victoria is an incredible dog trainer with poor business practices. I wished we could have actually received the benefit of her expertise. Unfortunately, we felt Victoria was very money hungry and her business style ultimately forced us to seek help elsewhere, after a lot of time and money wasted. We were very excited for Victoria’s training for our reactive rescue, but were met with a big upfront cost and a training plan that started at the basics. We were ready to invest in training, and trusted her to do the job. Rather than start with the issue and get to the root of it immediately, she wasted our time with leash training and basics. I wish I spoke up sooner, because by the time we got through leash training and our dog was still reactive, we didn’t have the budget to pay her upfront the $900 for another 6 sessions. (A cost we felt so great, only because it was expected upfront). Maybe she thought she could rope us in. Maybe she thought we had the money to keep going when she would eventually actually help us through what we needed. We were so disappointed. Towards the final session, I finally had the courage to say something like - she’s still reactive though. I don’t think this has anything to do with her obedience or walking well on a leash. She walks just fine until she meets a trigger - It was only then that Victoria took me through reactivity tactics. I walked away feeling so defeated that day. I felt she gave us the runaround just to make money before actually doing reactivity training with us. We wasted so much for a basic lesson on walking well on a leash, which again was not what we needed, and certainly not worth half a mortgage payment. I didn’t need my dog to walk next to me in a heel, I the tools to help my dog overcome her reactivity on a leash. Honestly, while I can see she is a great trainer and is so knowledgeable about dogs, I can’t recommend her for these reasons. She failed us, and despite her apparent love for dogs, failed our pup too. It was an incredible waste of time and money, not to mention the emotional toll. I write this review only to help other dog owners. If you feel something is off, speak up. Raving reviews don’t always mean the trainer is in your corner. We learned the hard way.

I have noting but great thing to say about Victoria an the Buckwild training crew. Back in the beginning of 2025 I was in a really tuff spot with my big dog Kobe. He was a 115 pound lab with a bite history an know for being aggressive around things he claimed as his. After being turned down by multiple So CALLED aggressive dog training facilities as soon as they heard he was anything over 70lbs. Even though it stated any size any behavior issues. I was lead to BUCKWILD by chance when I thought all my options where out. I dropped of a dog with im the alpha here where you felt like there was no changing him or shot. It was a great process with tons of pictures an updates daily where you fill like your along for the ride knowing that you animal is being treated as if it was there own while learning to become the best pet/family member possible. A+ Everthing you will not be disappointed!!!!

I did the 4-week board and train program with Buck Wild Dog Training, and even just two weeks after the program ended, I’ve already seen a major difference in my dog’s behavior. To start, I had a consultation with Victoria at her facility so she could observe Bruce and understand the areas I wanted to improve. He’s always been very well-behaved with solid obedience skills, which I've had previous trainers say is “good enough.” But Victoria picked up on the anxiousness and over-arousal that sometimes led to leash reactivity and poor dog-to-dog manners. After discussing my goals, Victoria recommended the 4-week board and train program, since they did not have to work on obedience, but rather to focus on behavior and emotional regulation. Throughout the four weeks, Victoria sent me regular updates and videos explaining what they were working on each day. Seeing Bruce playing, learning, and just being his goofy self made me so happy and reassured me he was in good hands. At the end of the program, Victoria came to my home for the handoff. She walked me through everything they had covered and gave me practical guidance on how to continue the progress on our walks and with socialization. Now, our walks are so much less stressful, and I can see a real shift in Bruce’s confidence and behavior around other dogs. I’m so grateful to Victoria and her team for the love, care, and intention they put into helping my boy grow into his best self.

I can't thank Buck Wild & their team enough for helping milo & I become confident in the streets and around other puppies. After trying training thru another company, it built walls of fears for milo and confusion for myself. The 1v1 technique has formed such a strong relationship with my dog and helped me understand Milo's triggers and how to navigate them into a positive interaction. I do recommend Buck Wild to any one who needs guidance or even just to spice up their relationship with their companion🐕
