Breakthrough K9 Training

We sent our rescue, Mabel, for the 4 week board and train program to help with her mistrust of other dogs. After just 4 weeks, we noticed an incredible difference in her confidence, and we now feel more empowered to help guide her in making good decisions! We enjoyed seeing all the updates on social media. There was a minor health incident that came up, but Lenny and Stephanie were quick to take care of it with a vet that came same day to see Mabel, and they kept us informed throughout the process. The constant communication was very much appreciated. We are so thankful for Breakthrough K9! Lenny, Stephanie and the whole Breakthrough K9 team truly care about every dog and seeing them succeed!

My husband and I brought our 1 year-old golden retriever home two days ago after being with Breakthrough K9 Training for two weeks. I would give them 10 stars if I could. He not only appeared to love his time and the people there, but came back a completely transphormed dog who now listens, stays calm, and has more freedom then he was ever able to have. We have said multiple times what a great investment it was for our whole family (including him and our other dogs). We quickly learned it is an educational process and takes hard work, patience and consistency, but the reward is so so worth it. I highly encourage anyone who is considering training to send their dogs there - you won’t regret it!

We took JellyBean to BTK9 to get a little more control over her impulses and have better recall. The BTK9 team did an amazing job with Jelly. She doesn't pull at all on walks, is a lot more friendly with new dogs, and her recall is amazing. She no longer crowds guests when they come through the door and when we're at the dog park, she gives other dogs space when they enter the park. Her recall has been amazing!! My husband and I as so happy we did the 3 week raining program, it was worth every penny. She's still got her bubbly personality and loves to cuddle, but is way more controlled and obedient.

We only have great things to say about our experience with Breakthrough K9. Our dog , Hank, is a 2yo Blackmouth Cur rescue who had a lot of confidence issues. He knew the basics (sit, down, stay) but could not walk on a leash and was pretty fearful of strangers. I was concerned because when he got scared, he would bark aggressively at strangers. I had no idea what to do about it, because I did not want to put him around more strangers to acclimate him, especially since he might get aggressive. Long story short, my husband and I brought him to Breakthrough K9 for a 4-week board and train. I definitely cried a ton the day we dropped him off — I didn't want him to think we abandoned him! But the team sent us regular updates and videos on his progress, which I thought was such a nice service. The entire team is so knowledgeable and kind, and the owners were really willing to work with us to make sure all our questions were answered. Every time we drop him off for the weekend (they also do boarding, which is fantastic because they also train Hank while he boards) the owners greet us and ask us how Hank's doing, whether we have any questions or issues that he still needs to work on. I really feel like we have an amazing resource, if we ever need help again. After the 4-weeks, our dog came back more confident, more obedient, less impulsive, and overall just happier. Bottom line — the service and quality of training is 10/10. They don't just train the dogs, they really care for them, and build relationships with the dogs. I can't recommend Breakthrough K9 enough.
