Blue Cord K9

I highly recommend Blue Cord K9! In the past I’ve taken my dog to training, and it just wasn’t as personal as having a trainer in the home. Not to mention most of the things I learned didn’t “stick.” It’s great to have a dog “sit” but that isn’t always enough. Often the issues we deal with are in the home, and it was so helpful to have them here to answer questions/ issues that we had. Things like our Cane Corso being pushy, bullying the smaller dogs in the home, jumping up on the counters, etc. were all addressed by the trainers. They even came out one time just because we were a little worried about our dog’s biting. They assured us it was just puppy biting and calmed our fears about owning such a large breed. We also learned boundaries for all of us to ensure the safety of our kids and puppy. Sure enough the puppy grew and the biting stopped. We were so pleased with puppy training that we moved on to e-collar training. Tonight we walked around the park leash free. We walked around dogs, people, distractions, and everything else that goes on at a park and our puppy did amazing. I’ve never in my life had a dog that I could take outside, and have her walk beside me without worrying if they were going to run after something. I’ve never had a dog love her kennel or stay on her “place.” I have a dog that is well behaved, well mannered, and overall very happy because we are the leaders, and all she has to do is live her best life. As far as the trainers themselves go I also have nothing but wonderful things to say. Personable, kind, caring, generous with their time, and overall a pleasure to have in our home (and meet at the park). They were always timely, never missed an appointment, and checked in with us via text. I could even text them questions whenever I wanted! I could go on and on about our experience! I am SO happy to have such a well behaved dog because of them. Cane corso can be a stubborn breed, but they knew just what to do and how to make us better owners too. Thanks so very much to them for the amazing experience!

We were in a bit of a time crunch because we are moving soon, and they were so accommodating to our schedule. They taught us not only how to teach our dogs, but also how to understand them. And being able to understand what was behind some of the issues is so huge. They taught us how to work our dogs, but also that it’s important not to work them too hard or too long, and how to recognize when they have reached that point. I wish that we would have hired them sooner so that we could keep learning. But we now have the knowledge to keep working when we move. Our dogs have not only made huge improvements in behavior, but they also seem happier. They get excited when it’s time to ‘work’. I can’t thank Blue Cord enough!!!

Highly recommend Blue Cord K9! We really needed help with one of our dogs who was reactive. I hesitated to reach out to anyone at first because I was worried about the approach, but their philosophy and reasoning behind everything aligned so much with what we were looking for and the end result we were so happy with! We even got to include our older dog. We learned so much about why our reactive dog was behaving the way she was and got so much education about dogs in general and their behavior. Dustin was so much fun to work with! We loved the service they provided to make sure we felt good with what we learned and were willing to answer all our questions and make sure that each session was to standard. We had so much fun doing this and I could not recommend them enough! This is the best investment we have made for our dogs and we feel so much better being able to go out on walks and be in control of the situation. We contacted Blue Cord K9 a few months ago completely distraught and stressed after finding ourselves with a difficult foster I pulled from the shelter euthanasia list. After a week or so in our care, Kurt became very aggressive towards most dogs and anyone except myself. This made it impossible to find him an adopter, yet he did not blend well with our dogs either. Our family (us and our dogs) were constantly walking on egg shells trying to avoid Kurt snapping. The vet implied euthanasia was the best option, but I refused to believe that. Despite Kurt being a very difficult situation, the Blue Cord team took the time to assess him multiple times to accurately diagnose him while taking his past life into consideration. We decided adopting Kurt and investing in the training he needed was the best option for everyone. To establish a training foundation and learn more about his behavior, we sent Kurt to board & train with Kevin and although he was not a friendly guest in the beginning, by the end of the two weeks he whined and cried then Kevin left our home. Blue Cord has not only provided us with a strong training foundation for Kurt, but they have also taught us how to better understand & manage our pack, how to de-escalate Kurt’s reactive episodes, how to train all of our dogs in basic obedience and given us the feeling of control and peace of mind we have been lacking. Although we still have a journey ahead of us, Blue Cord has made sure that we are equipped with all of the tools and skills we need to be successful and we now look forward to working with the doggos every night instead of feeling overwhelmed. Hey you guys! sorry took so long to leave my review, finally catching my breath. I’m sure you guys feel the same. So many things can be said about our experience with you guys. First my handsome Tank the smartest pup in the world 🤓 is now my bestest friend, our relationship changed 100% for the better after our training 🤓 We learned so much from you two Larinda and Kevin, especially me! I think Tank already knew what he was supposed to do, I just had to get with the program. 😂 I’ve had several fur babies in my life but never a friendship like the one that I have now, after being educated and really being taught how Tank thinks. To spend time with you two and observe your knowledge and experience taught me how to truly have a close and lovely relationship with my Tank. If you are considering BluecordK9 for your pup just do it!
