I can't recommend BCK9 high enough. They are patient in training dog moms and dads how to effectively communicate with their dog. They not only show you the techniques, but they give you the background to help you understand why you're performing it. They tell you how your dog understands and learns from you. I had the biggest fear that my dog would not like me for training him, but it turns out that he LOVES our sessions and has gained a lot more trust in me as a result of BCK9's training style. While looking for a trainer can be a daunting task, finding one that truly wants to help people with their fur baby relationship is 1 in a million. BlueChip K9 is definitely that 1. Dewayne and the entire Blue Chip K9 training team are extremely professional and dedicated to training your dog AND teaching you how to understand and interact with your dog(s). We used BCK9 for both our German Shepherd puppies when they had reached about 9 months old. They are both extremely high energy and had never been apart (brothers from the same litter). Dewayne suggested we train them separately to help with the separation anxiety and we chose the 5-week board and training for each, staggered by two weeks so we had each home alone without the other for two weeks which helped with the follow up training we performed under BCk9’s direction. The difference in our dogs has been miraculous since the training. Before BCK9 I was afraid to let my wife take them even for a walk-in her own since each of them is her size or larger. Now she can walk them alone, take them for rides, give them commands and they hold the commands until released from them on and off leash. They are truly a joy now. Thanks Dewayne and the entire BCK9 family and thank you for teaching us so much about our dogs, how they see the world, how they learn and how we are supposed to interact with them. I was very nervous at first about dropping my dog off and being able to maintain the training after he finished his boarding, but the group here did an amazing job with my Rocky and even taught me how to be a better trainer for him. They've been very kind and have answered all of my questions for how to continue forward with the baseline they've set for him. I would highly recommend this place to anyone considering training for their own dog, and would especially recommend the group training sessions. Edit: I sent my second dog through this program, my little havanese Newton, and the results were amazing again! Not only can this company produce amazing big dogs that you can feel safe having around other people and animals, but they also produce well-mannered little dogs. This makes the experience of introducing new people to my dogs and taking them out in public a less stressful and more enjoyable experience. With two dogs having completed this program, my 5 star review now holds true twice.
