Blackhawk K-9

We send our dog Dill, to Sam and her trainers for both boarding and board and train. I cannot emphasize the peace of mind I have when we travel knowing Dill is in incredibly good hands. Sam’s work with Dill has made his quality of living and our experience as dog owners so much better, and Sam tailored Dill’s training to his specific needs and even brought him to the neighborhoods we go to in order to be sure the training was effective. Blackhawk is always our first call for boarding and training.

I just wanna start by saying that Sam and her team are absolutely amazing. You can tell by the communication and interaction that they truly care about any dog that they take in. Not only did she transform my super anxious and distracted puppy into a much more calm and obedient one she was able to explain to me more about his personality and how to meet him in the middle. my biggest concern with my dog was his crate training as I was getting complaints for my apartment because of his consistent barking all day. Tucker came back and not only does he go into his crate on command, but he also settles very nicely. I cannot recommend this place more. And I will say that, regardless of how much training may cost it is definitely worth it and honestly, I think that they probably deserve more considering all that they do for you and your dog.Thank you again Sam, Tucker and me are able to have so much more fun and I cannot wait to see how far he goes with the training 🩵

We recently sent our Great Dane, Ellie, to Sam with Blackhawk K-9 and had the best experience! Ellie really struggled with basic obedience, reactive behaviors on walks, and obeying. She also HATED crates prior to doing the board and train! The first time we met Sam was at drop off and it was an immediate sense of security. We knew in that moment that Sam was the perfect fit for Ellie! Ellie definitely pushes boundaries but Sam worked tirelessly day in and day out with her and we have definitely seen a huge improvement in Ellie! Ellie struggled adjusting back at home and we reached out to Sam and she was able to come back to our house and help us almost immediately! We cannot recommend Blackhawk K-9 enough! Sam made training very personal to Ellie and it hasn’t gone unnoticed! Added photos that Sam took of Ellie!

A special thanks to Eliza and Blackhawk K-9. Nico is the sweetest dog but he loved to bark and to find chocolate granola bars in trash cans, backpacks and purses. The emergency vet knows him by name. I can’t thank Eliza enough for her training to stop his continuous barking and to control his urges to eat food we don’t give him. She has also taken the time to answer questions and to train us. She taught us how to keep up his good behavior with positive reinforcement. I cannot recommend them enough.
