We traveled from Rapid City to Edgemont to get some on leash training for 6 weeks for our Sharpei. We knew she would be challenging especially since she is so older dog we rescued. Tim did a great job explaining training techniques and also helped me understand my dog more, and what she could be thinking, as to why she reacts or does some of the things she does. The training indoor facility is awesome but the outdoor area and obstacles were a lot of fun and is such a nice area. Tim is very knowledgeable and helpful but my favorite part was his excitement for our dog when we got her to a certain command she didn’t do the week before 😃 it was a lot of fun and looking forward to more training for Ivy !

My French bulldog, Walter, and I had a great time at Black Hills K9! We took the on leash obedience class. Walter learned so much, as did I. We are from western NE, around 55 miles, and it is well worth the time to travel to Tim's facility. The indoor training floor was great as well as the obstacle course. I would highly recommend Black Hills K9. I plan on taking more classes in the future with Tim.

Tim breaks everything down to the basics and makes it easy to learn. Peaches loved the weekly sessions and we are loving her improved behavior. I highly recommend Tim for any of your dog training needs. He is extremely knowledgeable.

I have a 3 year old labrador who loves to learn new tricks, but I had been struggling with teaching him how to retrieve everyday objects in the house for fun. Two weeks working with Tim and my dog now retrieves the tv remote when cued! Tim made retrieving things a fun game for my dog, just like playing fetch! He also helped me understand the steps to teaching him more objects to pick up like my wallet or keys!

If you are looking for a trainer, Tim is the guy! Tim helped work with our golden retriever puppy when he was being very stubborn about loose leash walking. He was an excellent teacher and communicator with us as owners. It is clear he has a true passion for working with both dogs and owners.
