FirstBarkWe took our puppy Boone to Black Diamond K9 for puppy school and had such a great experience! The trainers were knowledgeable, patient, and really helped Boone make huge progress. He started off a little wild, but by the end of the course, he was so much more focused and well-behaved. Highly recommend to anyone looking for solid, effective training in a positive environment!

Hello! For dogs who are new to e-collars, I either work with Dogtra or E-Collar Technologies brand e-collars. I recommend the Dogtra 280c or the E-Collar Technologies ET-300. Thank You!

I can’t say enough good things about Black Diamond K9. From the very beginning, Joe made me feel so welcomed and never once made me feel judged for being a new dog owner with zero training experience. Oakley is a rescue, and when we started this journey, I felt totally lost and defeated. Joe gave me the tools, encouragement, and support I needed to not only tremendously help Oakley but to build my own confidence too. Once we enrolled Oakley in the day training program, everything started to click. His progress took off, and it was clear how much time, love, and care both Joe and Lindsey put into working with him. They treated Oakley like he was their own, and every day he came home tired, happy, and fulfilled. It made my dog mom heart so happy to see! The second part of the program—hiking with Lindsey through SoulMutt—was honestly amazing. I’ve never seen Oakley so excited to go anywhere. It became the highlight of his week, and mine too. On our final day, both Joe and Lindsey went above and beyond to make sure I felt confident and had all the knowledge for using the e-collar out in the real world. Their patience and knowledge made such a difference. Oakley is a completely different dog now (in the best way!), and we are already enjoying the benefits of off-leash life. We couldn’t be more grateful for Joe & Lindsey at Black Diamond K9 for the incredible work they did with our dog, Kona!! After meeting with Joe, we knew that he would be the best trainer for Kona. He took the time to listen to all of our concerns and helped us understand our dog in a way we didn’t think we could. Lindsey took Kona on pack hikes and we’ve seen a huge difference in her social skills. She also sent updates and pictures after every hike so I knew Kona was in good hands. Kona’s personality hasn’t changed, but now she’s reliable, listens better and we see how much more confident she feels socializing with other dogs and when we’re out exploring. At our final training session they taught us how to use the E-Collar and gave us the tools we needed to be successful and upkeep Kona’s training which was super helpful. Even though our training program is over, we still feel supported by Joe & Lindsey and know we can reach out at anytime. If you’re thinking about off-leash training, Black Diamond K9 is the place to go to!
Joe and LIndsey are great to work with and very knowledgeable about problem solving based on each individual dog's personality. I appreciate the gentle way Joe deals with all of the dogs and pays attention to what motivates them. I don't trust my dogs with just anyone but I have full confidence in Joe's experience and caring manner. You can tell how much he (and LIndsey) care for the dogs.
