Highly recommended! We've used Birch Valley K9 for daycare and plan to utilize their boarding services in the future. The facilities are excellent and provide dogs with lots of space and shade (important for those hot days). Communication is clear and payment through Venmo is exceptionally easy. We will be going back again and if you're looking for training, daycare, or boarding you should give them a try!

I have attended two 4-day decoy workshops at Birch Valley K9 with my Belgian Malinois. We both had a wonderful time at this beautiful facility and learned so much. I am excited to go back as soon as possible. Tommy's energy and passion for training are contagious, and the knowledge that he shares is world class. Tommy Verschueren’s Decoy Seminar is the best one I have ever been to without a doubt. I’m an educated Dog Trainer and I’ve been to many seminars. Dog training is my career. I’ve had mostly experience training protection dogs & police dogs and a tiny bit of experience with ring sport dogs as a member of my Mondio Club. Tommy is a world renowned decoy and he’s also a phenomenal teacher which are two different art forms. I learned the intricacies of how to train in behaviors and reinforce them properly through bite-work. The art and flow of proper movements of what the decoy should be doing in the agitation and bite; and how to prevent injury on the dog & myself. The coolest thing is Tommy explaining why the dogs are doing certain things; understanding how to read a dog in bite-work and realize why a certain behavior is showing and how to address It is hugely important! His wife Allie is also a phenomenal trainer. A graduate of Micheal Ellis & Starmark she knows what she’s doing and I can tell that by how she works a dog. I absolutely recommend you go here for decoy education or if you have dog training needs whatsoever!

Tommy and Allie are world class dog trainers. From pet dogs to working dogs, they are a step above. I have been training dogs for almost 10 years in the military, for law enforcement, and for normal pet dog clients and If I ever needed any help with my dog they would be the ones I go to! We're so glad we brought our year old Bernese to Tommy and Allie! They did a great job of teaching our pet new rules and behaviors that have made our interactions more meaningful. Before we had a large dog that would do as she pleased, and now she eagerly awaits direction for what to do next. She's still the same goofy and energetic family dog, but now is ready for direction at all times. Throughout the training sessions we received many videos showing all the new habits being taught. Between the videos, going to visit their training facility, and both Tommy and Allie coming to visit us we feel we were provided all the tools and information needed to best guide our dog to succeed in everything we ask of her. Every question we've asked has received a well thought out and researched answer. Even the followups after the training have been very helpful. Overall this was a wonderful experience for us. We appreciate all the time and effort both Tommy and Allie put into training our dog. Each interaction has shown how much they care and focus on the minor details that make all the difference. We highly recommend them for anyone looking for top notch training!
