About Big Sky Dog Training
Big Sky Dog Training, is a reward-based, positive reinforcement obedience dog training service. I provide private lessons in your home, and home board and train in my home in Wonder Lake. I help you correct inappropriate behaviors and redirect the dog to an appropriate behavior/position that the dog can be rewarded for. Our mission is to create an environment where you and your dog are learning together in a positive and fun environment. I am Insured and bonded. Only one dog is boarded and trained at a time.

Very thoughtful and knowledgeable. We are first time dog owners with a new puppy, and had a lot of questions. The Puppy Boot Camp is a good way to start training and get to know how to be a dog owner. Helpful tips and explanations for my young daughter too.
Montana helped us with our puppy and is an excellent trainer with many many years of experience. She’s seen it all!
I would highly recommend Montana to others She came to our house for a private session and she was punctual and calm and patient all the necessary qualities you want in a dog trainer She let me ask all sorts it questions about dogs and helped me with the main problem we were having with our dog which was barking at anyone who walked thru the door

I attended both the puppy and basic group classes early 2022 and found Montana to be a knowledgeable instructor. Besides plenty of useful information, emails, and her dog ownership experience, Montana gave us an opportunity to practice in a class setting all the information she gave us, including socialization with other dogs and people. The key here is the owner needs to be consistent and practice all the time with the commands and socialization of your dog and not say it is the instructor’s fault if your dog does not do well out of the class setting. These classes are not for dogs that are aggressive or constantly barking as this distracts from the lesson.
