Big Paws of the Ozarks

Highly recommend big paws for all your training needs. I got the great privilege of getting Reilly to train for my pup. He treated her as if she was one of his own, kept me updated daily and has answered my questions since picking up my dog. He gave me a more confident dog who listens to all of her commands and continues to improve everyday. Everyone who knew my dog before the training has complemented her on how much better she is since being with big paws. I will forever praise big paws and Reilly specifically for all the passion they put into their work. Thank you!!!

Our 7 month old GSD puppy Vanta spent the last two weeks at Big Paws with Reilly and I can't say enough good things about their program. Reilly kept us updated every day with photos and videos of Vanta's progress, and really felt like family. He worked through my wishlist of obedience skills, helped assess Vanta for future work, and adapted his training to his exact age and breed. GSD puppies are sensitive and suspicious. Reilly earned his trust, then challenged him to tackle scary things (plastic bags, springs, shadows) while practicing his skills and now he is both more controlled and more confident! I knew when we decided to adopt a puppy that we would do a board and train with Big Paws, because foundational education is SO important for pups! Even if you're super familiar with dogs and have training skills already, a board and train with Big Paws is still like sending your pup to college. We have had 40 fosters and are pretty good at training, but this got Vanta out of his comfort zone and also really deepened our relationship because he learned so much we can practice at home! The exposure to other dogs is also incredibly important for puppy development and this allowed Vanta to be part of a pack, learn some dog dynamics AND people dynamics, and really dial in his leash and off leash skills, his self regulation, his settle and stay, and his overall obedience.

We brought our pup Vanta here and had great experience. They’re incredibly knowledgeable and answered a ton of our questions. They did a great job meeting Vanta where he was at and working on the specific things we wanted to focus on and helped me learn how i can continue to working with him at home. Everyone here is genuinely kind and you can tell they really love dogs. Highly recommend for anyone looking for training, whether you’re just starting out or trying to work through specific issues.

Training with Thomas at Big Paws has been life changing for us and our dog. We adopted our 2 year old 80 pound Rottweiler Pitt mix and were struggling to gain control because of his size and lack of prior training. After working with Thomas we have control over our dog and confidence in our ability to handle whatever big dog ownership throws our way.
