Beyond The Leash

If you are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable trainer for your dog, I would highly recommend Scott at Beyond the Leash. Scott brings his expertise of training in a method that is clear and easy to understand and implement. And when you follow through with Scott’s training, both you and your pup/dog will be rewarded. I fostered, and then adopted, a 13 month old rescue in April. She had, and still has, a lot of that puppy spunk in her. But after hiring Scott, she is 100% manageable. It’s like night and day, (no exaggeration), and my dog is so much happier now. So am I! She knows her boundaries in the yard, she comes when she’s called, and now has the freedom to run and play without the worry of her straying or running away. She is well behaved in public places, and will stay in close proximity to me. She is now, the dog I’ve always wanted!

We can not thank Scott and Jess enough. We had struggled with Lola and thought we had exhausted all our options. Lola was super anxious and reactive. Particularly to other dogs and anything that would startle her including every day household noises. We had her on anxiety meds, and felt like we never could address her issues. After the board and train, and the follow up sessions we finally feel like we are addressing her anxiety issues and subsequently her reactivity. We are only a few weeks out and the transformation is amazing. My only regret is not getting their help sooner!!! We can now go for rides in the car along the beach with other dogs everywhere, ride in the boat, and walk by other dogs and the difference is amazing. It’s finally enjoyable again. We also now have the tools to handle situations. (I had another dog charge us while on a walk and Lola continued to walk and listen to me allowing the other owner to gather their dog). We have been able to ween her off her anxiety meds (after consulting our vet) and are extremely happy with her.
