We rescued a lab mix from New England Lab Rescue and I immediately checked out training options. When I looked at Bessey's Positive Paws website I was impressed and chose Erin Bessey as our trainer. My dog, Bodie, has no impulse control when he encounters other dogs and there were two other dogs in the class. Needless to say, I was discouraged at my dog's behavior. Erin was very flexible and continually modified the structure of the class to make it as effective as possible for us. After this class, I opted to enroll Bodie in private sessions with Erin. Bodie has progressed and is doing very well in following commands. He is still having difficulty in his impulse control when encounter other dogs, but Erin is continuing to work with us to help with this problem. She listens to me and offers feedback that is beneficial. I would recommend Bessey's Positive Paws to anyone who has a dog who they would like to train to improve the relationship or to help with any problem that they are having with their dog.
Erin is patient and kind. She works well with owners of all ages to train their dogs. She is incredibly knowledgeable and uses proven positive reinforcement methods to train. We love Bessey's Positive Paws and highly recommend them.
