FirstBarkI found this class completely useless. The trainer was rude and did nothing helpful other than telling me what I was doing or did wrong...even my treats were not good enough! My 12 week old puppy even found this class boring! I could of learned better training ways from YouTube! What a waste of time and money!

About Barks and Rec. Animal Training and Behavior
Barks and Rec. Animal Training and Behavior is the only facility of its kind in northern Michigan. We use modern, science-based, and empathy-driven positive reinforcement training methods to help you and your dog live your best lives together. Our trainers are highly educated in learning theory, behavior modification, ethology, puppy development, behavior analysis, and more. Our services include group classes, private and in-home training for: puppy socialization, manners and obedience; aggression, reactivity, and separation anxiety; CGC testing and therapy dog prep; and dog sports, including agility, scent work, Rally O, and AKC Fit Dog. Visit our temperature-controlled facility located just South of Chum's Corner in Traverse City.

My puppy has issues with fear and anxiety. The classes at Barks and Rec were so helpful with this. It gave my puppy confidence and positive exposure to people and other dogs.

I would recommend Barks and Rec classes to anyone with a dog! Alicea had amazing knowledge of dogs, behavior and training. Her facility is perfect for the classes she offers and she doesn't overbook classes so you get ample attention. I've taken both my Standard Poodles to agility (pre & level 1 each) and nose work classes. They were beyond obedience when we discovered her, otherwise they'd have that under their belts too!
