I am SO grateful that I found Balanced Behavior Dog Training Center! I have a 3 year old Great Dane who had becoming more than a handful. Walks had become dreadful with pulling and reactivity, anxiety, whining, they were no longer enjoyable for either one of us. I had tried a board and train program at another training facility, but at the end of the week I was told that they were unable to work with him. Every time they would bring him out to work on things he was too focused on the door waiting for me to come back. We had a major separation issue on our hands among other things! Thankfully I came across Balanced Behavior and scheduled a consultation asap. On top of the leash troubles and separation issues, he was getting into fights with our other male dog and we were at the point that we couldn't keep him without a drastic change, but I loved him too much to give up on him! As soon as I met with Bill I knew we had found the right place. He is so knowledgeable! He did a great job at explaining the problems we were facing and laid out a clear path of what needed to change for us. The communication at Balanced Behavior is top notch, they are responsive to any questions along the way (something that was lacking at my previous training attempt). I enrolled Albert in the GOAT camp and after 10 sessions we are night and day from where we started! I now can actually enjoy take him on loose leash walks, something I was convinced I would never be able to do with him. I look forward to future visits to Balanced Behavior for their stay and train program and venturing out for one of their Pack Walks. If you are struggling with your dog, don't hesitate, book the consultation! It was worth every penny, Thank you Bill and Krista, Albert misses you already!

We decided to research and seek out a trainer for our rescue dog, Andi who is a Fila Brasilero, who had started exhibiting aggression towards any family/friends that came to our home. I found Balanced Behavior, and when I saw he specialized in large breeds and owned them himself I felt it would be the perfect match. The trainers knew how to make Andi feel safe and confident, and we watched every video as a family and practiced all of the techniques we learned after each session to reiterate and reinforce. After only 4 sessions of GOAT training we had a family vacation where Andi would be around 10 other people. Using the techniques we had learned, as well as her newfound confidence Andi did amazing. My 67 year old mother was taking her on walks and commenting on how walking my 100+ lb dog was easier than her much smaller dog. She was terrified of water when we first arrived but was swimming by the time we left. She was so relaxed she would often fall asleep while everyone was around. We’ve also been able to apply our training to our other dog, and now our home is more calm, the dogs know how to lay on their beds (place) and just relax without constant attention. I’m even able to walk both dogs (over 200 lbs together) alone without all of the anxiety and fear that I had just walking Andi alone and possibly running into another dog or person. We are only halfway through training, and I can only imagine how much more our girl is going to learn and thrive in the second half.

Balanced Behavior was a lifesaver for our family. Our pitbull was super sweet but very reactive and anxious and we couldn’t take her anywhere. I wanted the intensity of a board and train but wanted to be more involved. Billy’s program was exactly that. Nova got a few hours of training each session and I got one-on-one training at the beginning or end of each session. I was able to practice the skills and then come back with questions to each session. Billy was very easy to talk to, explained everything well and modeled all the skills. Our pitty is a whole new dog and we all have the confidence to be her leader. I recommend Balanced Behavior to everyone I know :)

I adopted my crazy puppy in January and he was in need of a lot of training. From the very first, I noticed a difference. Finn knew how to sit, lay, and focus by the end of the first day. Bill keeps the same calm tone which made Finn feel relaxed and safe while also training him to listen to commands. Now he goes for training and fun on Fridays, also know as "Finn Fridays"! Great great experience! Highly recommend!
