My fiancée and I rescued Bartlett in October of 2022. When we first got him he was scared of life, he grew up on streets of TN and clearly had a rough go of it. As Bart got more comfortable and attached to us, we started having issues. It got to a point, where he was running how we lived our lives and how we acted in our own home. My fiancée was afraid of him and it was time to do something because we didn’t want to have to re-home Bartlett. She contacted Kirstie and we setup a consult. The rest is pretty much history. Bartlett’s turnaround was and is amazing. His obedience and recall are unmatched. While he still has anxiety, he’s now living his very best life. If it weren’t for Auntie K, we wouldn’t be here now with this guy. She, Armando, Kiwi and the clan have become family and I can honestly say I’m not sure where we would be without them!

Ty and I also wanted to further update the public as to how amazing Kirstie and Kiwi’s Dog Training Academy is. Over the past several months after Storm completed his 4 week training, we have had him stay at Kirstie’s overnight while we’ve been away on vacations. Most recently as of this past week, we had Storm stay at Kirstie’s. Storm had a recent accident which required him to have stitches and wear a cone. Knowing how awesome Kirstie is, we most certainly trusted her to watch Storm while we were away on vacation. Kirstie made sure Storm received his daily medications as prescribed and always sent us photos/videos of Storm taking his scheduled/daily medication. Kirstie of course, always sent us updates on how he was doing. Kirstie is the absolute best and we have a fantastic relationship with her. She really does go above and beyond to make sure your pup is being cared for. Thank you for everything!🤍🤍 Older post: Ty and I couldn’t be more grateful to have come across Kiwi’s Dog Training Academy for our rescue dog, Storm. Storm was a rescue dog who was very reactive and had separation anxiety. He also lacked impulse control and often times did not know how to contain his excitement around other people and dogs. Storm partook in Kiwi’s Dog Training Academy’s 4 week board and training program. Both Kirstie and Nick were very devoted in helping Storm and our family. They made sure to send updates regarding Storm’s progress throughout the program, and assisted with lessons for both Ty and I to participate in. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome, considering Storm has turned into a much more calm and lovable dog. This has allowed us to take Storm on weekly hikes, visit Petco, and enjoy daily walks at ease. Thank you for everything!

Kirstie and I had a good relationship at the beginning and I felt like or so I thought she was being honest with me. I expressed the concerns I had about leaving my one year old dog with her because of her severe anxiety. She assured me she’d help me with my dog and I’s relationship. I trusted her right at that first consultation. We had constructed a plan to bring my dog about once a week before I would leave her for a month. There were times where I’d be waiting to drop my dog off and she’d tell me her employees called out or overslept. Resulted me being late for work. Which okay, fine, happens to all of us. I told her I needed to trust her if I’m leaving my dog with her and she reassured me it wouldn’t happen again. But it did. This started to worry me because it seemed like it was getting unprofessional but I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt having to take care of so many animals. She knew what she was doing but by the end of it- it was very unprofessional and disorganized of a business. It all went down hill when I came back from overseas. My dog is required to take medicine every day for her anxiety which I thought I had made clear before leaving. When I came back after a couple weeks and gave my dog her medication she had a seizure. I took her to the vet and was informed that this could be a result of possibly not taking her medicine. I went home and counted the pills in the bottle I had left with Kirstie and asked her if she had medicated my dog. She said she might’ve missed it once or twice and then when I told her that the bottle still had way more than that in it, she immediately started accusing me of lying and spoke to me in a completely unprofessional manner and cussing me out. Instead of being mature and just saying “ hey look I understand your frustration etc I gave her the medication” calmly then I would’ve been fine & she would’ve still had a customer. I will not be okay when I pay 3k for a training, and you tell me you’re folding the company and not providing anymore trainings for my dog when I WAS TRYING TO UNDERSTAND WHY THIS HAD HAPPENED TO MY DOG. Rightfully so, I had every right to ask what had happened with my dog at her house and if she received the medications or not. She kept insisting the pharmacy gave me an extra 21 pills in my dogs BRAND NEW fluoxetine bottle. Like just own up to it and we could’ve been DONE. I’ve already forgave you for so many more mistakes. When she told me she won’t be training my dog anymore I did ask for a partial refund as she was the one backing out. She made me feel uncomfortable when she started swearing at me. Then she blocks my number and says “leave me the **** alone” So many times I forgave her before bringing my dog to her and I looked past everything. Excuses from “ I hate this job, I want to fire all my employees, I lost a dog, I’m going to be late, I can’t trust anyone working with me, Nick (co-worker) doesn’t work here anymore , Nick takes too many days off , I lost my phone , my phone broke, can’t find my keys” I’ve heard it all and had the worst experience. I hope this doesn’t happen to anybody else.

A few weeks ago I was seriously afraid to open my front door. Our dog Princess would bolt out of it so fast and be a half mile into the woods before we could even grab the leash. She didn’t come when she was called. We would have to go hiking out there with treats and just pray she would come back. We couldn’t take her for walks because she pulled so much on a leash, we couldn’t play fetch with her or take her swimming because if she wasn’t on a leash, she was going to take off. Then she learned to jump our fence and got into some trouble with the neighbors. I knew I had to do something ASAP.I called Kiwi's Dog Training Academy and she came out the next day. She took Princess right away to begin a 16 day training program. Right away I knew Princess was going to be in a loving, safe environment with Kirstie. I have to admit, I was incredibly skeptical though. I thought there’s no way you can train this dog to be off leash. She’s going to take off any chance she gets. Kirstie sent me videos every day. Within one week she had her off leash. Running and playing in a big open field, staying close by and coming back when called. She also took her into Boston to do leash training. We couldn’t be more amazed, grateful and ecstatic about this training program. It is not only a whole new life for Princess where she gets to run free, swim, play fetch and go on walks but a whole new life for us where we don’t have to hold our breath every time someone opens our doors and we can enjoy time with our dog instead of being frustrated and anxious. We can’t recommend Kiwi's Dog Training Academy enough. Best money we ever spent!!!
