Mobility Support Service Dog VS a Walker - A dog will come when called, fit into unique spaces, travel "off road" with their handler on grass or gravel, and jumps in the car when it's time to go! Can a walker do that? The following list is just a few more ways they can help: Provides balance, assists with sitting and standing, carries objects such as oxygen tanks, turns lights on/off, pushes indicated buttons (such as an emergency call, elevator button, or automatic door), opens/closes doors, alerts a specific person when assistance is needed, provides familiarity and comfort in new environments, carries medications and medical documentation, enables confidence and independence, provides companionship, and grabs, picks up, drops, relocates, and hands indicated objects to the handler.

After completing a basic obedience program, we offer advanced Service Dog, Therapy Dog, or Emotional Support Dog lessons. These include task training and public access. The 1 hour private lessons are $150 each. Please contact us for additional information!

We cannot recommend ASA Service dogs enough! From the start , they have been attentive to our needs. They picked & trained the perfect service dog for our daughter. ASA kept us informed every step of the way from giving us updates to training our family on how to properly care for & handle our daughter’s service dog. We love that we can reach out to ASA anytime with questions & receive follow up training as well. We brought our daughters’s service dog home a couple of weeks ago & because of the quality care & training ASA provided, he is the perfect addition to our family. And perfect for our daughter & her needs.

ASA Service. Dogs were great. I’m so happy with my new dog,Tildy. Amanda did everything thing she said she would including the time frame. All and all it was an amazing and life altering experience.

Working with Amanda and ASA service dogs has been such a wonderful experience, and truly a life changing one. I was at a point with my ptsd and anxiety where I could no longer even step out onto the front porch of my house nor had I for almost three years at that point. In October of 2022, I was blessed with Inky, and now I can't imagine my life without him. No matter how difficult it is for me to go out, I know I can with him by my side every step of the way. He's my furry guardian angel. Amanda has been absolutely amazing every step of the way. Despite how hard it is to talk to others with my anxiety, I always feel a sense of comfort and ease when communicating with her. She truly cares about both the dogs and people she works with and I'm so very blessed to have found this organization. When I first contacted Asa, I wasn't very hopeful, I had previously worked with a different company for a service dog and the treatment I had received left me incredibly broken. Right off the bat, the difference between that organization and Asa service dogs was mind blowing. I can't begin to accurately describe what this has done for me. I continue to express my gratitude for what's been given to me. For those needing a service dog, Asa service dogs is the organization I highly recommend. It's a decision I was truly blessed with.

The idea of a service dog for my son with autism is wonderful but the reality is, the cost is completely out of reach. In a perfect world this is such a great fit for my son.

Hello Marisa, Absolutely, Autism Service Dogs Dogs are beneficial in so many ways! Whether the recipient is low or high functioning; SD’s help with routine, communication, calming, DPT, focus, redirection, and more! Thank you for emphasizing the cost of quality trained Service Dogs. Assistance dogs are incredibly beneficial, yet there is a lack of funding for both the disabled recipients and the SD organizations. One of our primary goals as our organization grows, is to provide Service Dogs at no cost. To accomplish this goal we rely on generous donations from our community, by promoting awareness and providing free community educational programs such as Jr. Training and Reading To the Dogs for Literacy. Many are not aware of the expenses required to train a dog for 1-2 years. Costs include: veterinary care and spay/neuter, monthly medications, purchase, transportation, grooming, boarding in temperature controlled house (never a kennel), high quality food and treats, and advanced professional training for up to 730 days! We hope you don’t give up hope along your journey of obtaining a SD for your son! Many of our recipients have successfully fundraised, obtained grants, and/or received funding from medical assistance programs! Thank you for your feedback, hopefully this information will encourage you to change your 2 star into a 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!! Our organization strives to provide the dogs at the lowest cost possible to our recipients, while expanding our educational programs. Hopefully you can throw a 2 star review towards the insurance companies that fail to acknowledge how beneficial service dogs are for health and wellness!! 🐕‍🦺
