there is a VERY short list of people we trust our dog to be with when we're not around, and Lauri is at the top of that list. Lauri is absolutely incredible and has helped our dog Frankie become properly socialized while making sure she gets plenty of fun playtime with other dogs. Lauri started seeing Frankie right when we started to take her on her first leash walks as a young puppy. Frankie was a young rescue pup, had boundless energy and would sometimes be over eager to play with other pups and did not have the best manners. Lauri has been working with Frankie for a couple months and the results are amazing - Frankie has learned manners both with greeting people and dogs, and has become much more polite in her play with dogs. We used to be fearful that Frankie would run after birds, squirrels or other things, but with Lauri's training we are so confident our pup wants to stay close to us and isn't a flight risk. One of the things Lauri really focuses on is training dogs to make the right decisions through positive reinforcement techniques. It's so satisfying to see the benefits and usefulness of these positive reinforcement training techniques play out in real time with Frankie, and Lauri has been instrumental in teaching Frankie and then teaching us how to reinforce these learnings during our time with Frankie. We love receiving photos and updates after each walk, knowing Frankie is in the best hands. Plus, Frankie comes home exhausted and happy, so she's easier for us to manage throughout the evening. We trust Lauri completely and appreciate their patience, kindness, and expertise. If you're looking for someone who truly understands and cares for dogs, Lauri is the best!

Quite simply, Lauri is amazing! Our mini Aussie, Loretta was a pandemic puppy who started life in Sonoma County. She wasn’t very well socialized or used to city living. She was afraid of or maybe protective against big dogs which made taking her for walks a challenge. Lauri won her over immediately. Her thoughtful approach to training and socialization has made a HUGE difference. Loretta loves going out with her pack and she is a delight to walk with us. A huge bonus is the beautiful photos that Lauri sends every day. I don’t know how she gets all the dogs to pose so perfectly but I love it. And I love seeing how happy Loretta is playing all over the city. If you are looking for an excellent dog trainer or just a safe, reliable, thoughtful way to get your dog exercise and socialization during the day, run, don’t walk to Lauri ♥️

Amazing Trainer – Corbin’s Favorite Part of the Day! My neighbor recommended Lauri to me since she also uses Lauri service for her pup, and I’m so grateful she did! We’ve been working with Lauri since November 2023, and I can’t say enough great things about Lauri. Corbin, who will be 3 in May, absolutely loves his time with Lauri—it’s the highlight of his day! Lauri at Art & Science Dog Training has been a game-changer for our high-energy golden retriever. Before we worked with Lauri, I would have to keep Hudson on leash and apart from other dogs and people, signalling that he was not super friendly. He was anxious around other dogs and sometimes aggressive. Now, he runs comfortably alongside others, unthreatened and more confident. And he actually has other dog friends - something we never though possible! Lauri is gentle and patient and has brought out the best in our "spicey" pup.
