Ben did such an amazing dog training my Pyrenees/Blue Heeler, Beignet! In each of the daily updates, I could see that Beignet and Ben formed a special bond and that Beignet was having fun while learning. Beignet knew when he succeeded with an task and would wag his tail proudly! Ben would give him such loving praise that only made Beignet even more happy & proud!! I now have a catalog of tools including heel, auto-sit, bed & come that make life with my lovable giant easier and safer. And the support doesn’t end when he comes home! Ben has been exceptional at providing training videos and support to ensure all of the great things learned at school continues now that we are home!

We just got our dog, Boris, back yesterday after his 3-week board & train program, and we couldn't be more grateful. Boris is already about 80% better than before. I think a lot of people expect to get a completely transformed dog back, but training is a lifelong process. You still have to put in the work when your pup comes home, you're just no longer starting from zero. Before this program, we had almost accepted that Boris would always be a difficult, reactive dog. But this morning, for the first time ever, we actually enjoyed walking him without him reacting to everything around him. A huge thank you to Art of the Dog, especially to our main trainer Marcos and CJ, for giving Boris such a great foundation and for being so responsive and supportive throughout the entire process. We can't wait to keep building on everything he learned!

AOD is the way to go. They took such good care of our girl over the three week board and train. They had consistent communication regarding any concerns and daily updates including pictures of training sessions. They kept our goals at the forefront of her programming. The educational materials they have developed are practical and to the point. The graduation process was immensely informative and helped us set up for a successful transition home.

Can’t recommend enough. Our nervous dog has no confidence before going into AOD. Walks with him were out of the question as he would bark and lunge at people and dogs, we really felt we were at our wits end. Our dog is a changed dog. He can handle any environment now with ease - and we have to tools to continue to set him up for success. We are so grateful for this second chance given to our sweet dog moose. We have a rescue Husky that is about 4 years old. We worked diligently to train him, and we were successful in some ways. However, he was increasingly exhibiting negative behaviors such as pulling, not obeying commands consistently, and aggression toward other dogs. We were even considering euthanasia as we thought that we would not be able to control him. We were honestly at our wits end. So I did a LOT of research to find the best location to modify these behaviors. Art of the Dog was an answered prayer. We knew there would be a difference, but we had no idea how much better he would behave. He came home yesterday and has been on two walks, one with me and one with my husband. We were both amazed at the improvement in his behavior and the very minor infractions we had to correct. He did not pull or react to other dogs except in very minor, correctable ways. And his correction was consistently immediate. We were amazed. A word about the E collars. We were concerned about using them. First AOD is very good about collar placement and use, and our dog had very minimal scabs that were the result of pressure of the probes, not the administration of correction. For those concerned about the level of stimulation, we are currently, although the level changes with the need, at an 8 out of 100 for a dog that previous to this training was nearly impossible for me to control during walks. I know this is a considerable financial investment, and we believe it was an excellent investment for the following reasons. 1. The training really works, as you can see from the comments above. 2. AOD trains you as well as your dog. We are fully aware that it is our responsibility to protect and care for our dog by consistently training him just as AOD trains. And the handoff at graduation was so thorough and informative and we left feeling confident that we could successfully continue down this road to optimal behavior. 3. The communication is quite thorough before, during, and after the training. During our dogs stay we received daily updates 5 days a week and additional updates as necessary. 4. The lifetime guarantee ensures that you are never left on your own with your pup and this training journey.
